What a lovely place is Café de la Paix! Quelle ambiance! Evoke memories of Gide! Zola! De Maupassant! Avoid the food at all costs (they're pretty steep), however. After a twenty-minute scrum at the podium waiting to be seated after a night at the Opera,...More

A journey into the old-world's luxury cafes. Prices are steep but you pay for the location and beautiful settings. The hot chocolate is decadent!

I would of liked to have given this place full marks, as the Irish coffee and the Waffle I had was lovely, I would actually go as far to say the Irish coffee was one of the best I had. The reason I marked it...More

Beautiful restaurant across from Palais Garnier. Impeccable service. Classic French cuisine with innovative updates. Enjoyed fois gras entree and lamb main course. Delicious. It is on the high end of my price range but perfect for a special night out.

In the Opera district on a dreary day and entered a warm, Belle Époque world. What a treat. Elegant setting, lovely service and traditional, delicious food offerings (duck confit a standby). Yes, it's expensive and can be touristy but a wonderful break in a wet...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,

cinemas sit side by side with French bistros
predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in
