Filet tender enough to eat with a fork and anglerfish delicious. Appetizer of tuna, beautiful. Waiter was excellent. Great wine. Wonderful ambiance. Dress nicely.

a group of six for dinner, we had varying experiences with the food and wine. i had the asparagus and the poached egg- both of which were excellent. friend shared the chicken, which was for two, but even so was way too much food. service was slow, the wine list was okay. but we all agreed the atmosphere was lovely.... The venue is lovely but the food, for the price, was very mediocre. It just isn't that exciting food-wise, no better than a standard bistro. The restaurant clearly needs more waiters as the service was polite but very slow. The area has plenty of little bistros that are just as good if not better. We wouldn't have minded paying more... This restaurant is very spacious. The feel is more like an atrium in an American shopping mall than a Parisian restaurant. However, the marble tabletops are very nice. The food is okay, but overpriced by 5-10 euros per dish. Small portions. My eight-year-old finished all of his food, and ate bread, which is a good indicator of just how small... More

We stayed in the area and wanted to eat dinner within walking distance...on a Monday. Alcazar really came through and accepted a last min. reservation. There were a lot of locals, and our waitress spoke very little English, so I don't think it necessarily fits into the tourist trap category. Ambiance is cool, the downstairs dining area gives you a... More

Really nice dinner on a Sunday night in Alcazar. Food was great, service was top class. Really enjoyed it. Restaurant is beautiful, although I must say it was a little bit too bright ( in my opinion). Highly recommended.

For Valentine's Day myself and my partner made a reservation here opting for the 55 euro menu per person. This included a 3 course meal and drinks, which much to our surprise was a bottle of champagne which would have been priced at 85euro on the menu. Great deal! To start I had the ceviche of seabass which was divine,... More

We've been a few times over the years; concluded on this visit it was better before it was redecorated. It used to be modern and trendy. Now it just looks brown. Not really trendy, just looks like it needs re doing again. And they've got loads of cheap and flimsy cane chairs which wobbly a bit and don't give you... More

L’Alcazar is the ideal restaurant for a dinner between friends. The place is spacious and cosy, with lovely booths. Tables are not too close to one another and the décor with green plants is charming. We were also pleasantly surprised by the food. I thought that as this trendy restaurant was famous for its “ambiance” the quality of food would... More

We had a lunch and that was, in a fantastic weekend, the only wrong place to be: the food is ok, but not special. The place is nice but the team was not interested, not involved, especially the lady at the Front. We had the idea that we were disturbing. People said yes, we are coming but no way. What... More

Dear Virginie, Thank you for having shared your experience of Alcazar on Trip Advisor. We are very disappointed as it seems that, with the exception of the service, you appreciated our restaurant. We are very concerned by the satisfaction of our clients and make our best to reach it ..... without being shielded from an incident. It seems that you... More

Description
Serving the best cuisine from both sides of the channel, Alcazar restaurant and bar offers a very traditional French ambience in the famous Saint Germain de Près district near the School of Fine Arts. The glass ceiling fills the lower dining area with natural light and gives a bright and airy feel. The eclectic menu features primarily French cuisine, with produce such as Smoked Salmon or the House Foie Gras, not to mention the original Raspberry and Liquorice Vacherin dessert. A more contemporary atmosphere can be found on the mezzanine floor overlooking the restaurant, where you can sample the extensive cocktail list whilst listening to a diverse selection of house music from some of the best Parisian DJs. Another unique experience can be enjoyed on Monday night, where you can dine with the accompaniment of classical music from Véronique Chevalier and her musicians.
