The Ambassade d'Auvergne, for a fancy French restaurant, is very affordable and has delicious food. The staff were very accommodating to us, who don't speak much French, and were very helpful. The food was amazing, and the delicacies of Auvergne are worth giving a try. As all will tell you, the mousse is delicious . . . and has quite... More

Superb food and service! We had the best roasted duck breast ever (and we've tried many versions of this in Europe). It was served with aligot, mashed potato with cream which is a bit on the heavy side with the duck but nevertheless, very delicious and served with flair. The beef cheeks are good but not at the same standard... More

This restaurant has two levels, both beautifully decorated interiors, excellent service and food, they do not rush you if you want to take your time. The lentil entree is very large so share, the signature dish of cheesy potatoes is fantastic. We had a wonderful evening, food & wine both faultless, staff very attentive without being in your face (just... More

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The food is very good. Be prepared to pay between £60-65 per head (with wine). If you do order the lentils as a starter – don’t order a second starter, this is big enough for too and an excellent dish. Very good range of wine and do try their signature dish – Aligot (cheesy potato... More

Three of us had a lengthy and very rich dinner here, inhaling everything from aperitifs through the mousse to the digestif -- a somewhat excessive evening, but fun. Our somewhat inexperienced waiter was overworked (someone hadn't shown up) and a birthday party of Brits downstairs had eaten all the artichoke appetizer, but otherwise service was OK and the menu ample.... This restaurant is in the Marais district of Paris near the Pompidou Center. It was recommended by our landlord and we had a fabulous French meal there. The service was wonderful. The maitre d' and waitress were very kind to us even though we did not speak French. The food was delicious. For 28 Euro, a prix fixe menu was... More

This is one of our friend's favorite restaurants in all of Paris and we went on her recommendation. She did not steer us wrong!! The food was incredible! My son had the duck which was absolutely divine, and perfectly cooked, rare but not raw as it sometimes is. With his and mine (I had a steak) came the most heavenly... More

Just been last weekend with a group of friends. Unfortunately I have no good words for this “tourist spot”. I hardly ever meet such an unfriendly and unwelcoming waiter in my life-and I dinne out a lot. He literally couldn’t be bothered and refused any advice or help to find an option for our kids to eat. I did ask... More
