This was on the top of my husband's to do in Paris list (this was maybe our 8th visit to Paris?) he loves it for the waiters and the traditional brasserie atmosphere. I was surprised at the line (it was a Thursday evening in May)...More

You can find fancier restaurants with better food but part of the charm is dining in a historic Belle Epoque landmark. It gets very busy but the service is fast and not snooty. The waiter wrote the orders on the placemats and at the end...More

Here you'll find a simple menu and a low quality standard of food - this is reflected in the pricing which is competitive for Paris. The cheapness and the beauty of the building is perhaps why this is such a popular restaurant. Not even a...More

They serve classic French food. We had the canard confit, escargot, steak frites, and foie gras. Best French food we've tasted in Paris. So delicious yet reasonably priced.

I was here 1st time in 1977, with my brother, who then worked at Hotel Scribe. The other chefs used to eat here. It was fab. Since then, have I been back many many times over the year. When I lived in Paris 1999-2007, was...More

Visited Le Bouillon Chartier this evening after being recommended by friends - stood in the queue snaking out into the street and back in the reception waiting 25 mins to get in, were seated on a table with customers already eating. Restaurant is packed with...More

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Paris, especially for vegetarians. The Lasagne, Spaghetti with Tomato sauce and the Veg pizzas were outstanding. The service is efficient and a must visit eating place.

Stopped there after visit to the Eiffel Tower, very close by. English friendly staff, attentive service. Octopus starter and desserts were especially good. Wife and I left there very happy. Prix fixe was a bargain in my opinion.

I went to the Le Bouillon Chartier or as my french friends call it the Chartier House. When we arrived they had a long line of cars waiting to enter. We got lucky since a space for 3 was available. This is a community style...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,
and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here,
modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and
cinemas sit side by side with French bistros

The service charge is included in the prices which are very low for Parisian standards. The same holds for all taxes, the prices you see are the final ones. You can ask the waiter for recommendations, but even if you don't... More

I'm afraid you can't make reservations for the Bouillon Chartier. It's first come first served.
