Got the tasting lunch - 5 courses for €42. Was our best meal in France. Every course was a knockout with the Parmesan soup, mushroom risotto and rice pudding worth a special mention. Definitely get the rice pudding if you go here - I wasn't a fan until I tried their version but it is a must do

Wonderful dinner in l'ami Jean! The place was quaint and very personal. You can even see the chef preparing your meal from his kitchen. Even if the place was packed the orders came in fast. We the most interesting and delicious Parmesan soup and of course we had their famous rice pudding. Was just very pricey. Overall a good meal... More

We went for lunch on a weekday. Jam packed with not an inch between the tables, an over worked staff and average food. Too bad, we won't be back.

It's not just a meal you go for, it's an amazing experience! If you haven't tried mussels, this is the place that sets the standard. Try the mushrooms, savor the sweetbreads, enjoy the wide range of menu items you've probably never heard of before. And save room for the rice pudding - decadent beyond description! The staff is friendly and... More

L'Ami Jean is a nice restaurant. It's crowded at night, the waiters have to work around, and you have to catch them up if you're ready to order. The foods are delicious. It's very tasty. However you might need to wait for a little while to get the foods. I highly suggest you try the rice pudding at this restaurant... More

One of the best meals of our lives. Husband is allergic to shellfish so the chef custom-made him a tasting menu. Every single thing we ate was delicious and we left stuffed. Be sure to make reservations far in advance as the place is tiny, but in a great, quaint way.

L'ami Jean offers very good food well served but you do sit practically in the lap of the person beside you on a long table with very little room. I have to say that would put me off going again. I was told, however, That the rice pudding was unbelievable so if you're happy to have dinner with people you... More
