Literally and metaphorically! We were extremely lucky to squeeze in before another booking, noticing everyone else after us was being turned away, but also the restaurant is very cosy so you have to move tables to get to your seat! Amazing food, brilliant host and perfect atmosphere. I'm so glad we managed to eat here while on a short trip... More

This very small and intimate place is what you want to find in Paris. The kitchen is resolutely French and the atmosphere welcoming. What could be better? Well, the food really, in general it was well cooked but a bit blend and the price level higher than it should be for what is after all a hole in the wall,... More

From the moment you walk in, you feel like you have been coming here for years. It is simply delicious and quaint. The restaurant has the feel of a local small Parisian restaurant. It's interior has that warm and good feeling. We were greeted with humor and kindness -- a rare and special thing anywhere in the world. The special's... More

My husband and I had dinner here at our hotel's recommendation (we were staying across the street at Le Six--also C'est Magnifique!) and it was truly magical. We felt like we were dining in a friend's home--a friend who was an excellent chef!-- since we were treated like family by Pierre and his 2 colleagues. My husband had the duck... More

I came across this restaurant while researching for places to dine in paris. And it was an unforgettable experience. The food were impeccable and simply delicious. Service was faultless and the waiter was attentive to our needs. Ordered escargots for starters, pork chop for main course and the mille-feuille for desserts. The pork chop was outstanding and simply magical. I... More

We ate here on our first evening in Paris. The food and service was outstanding! The restaurant was recommended by our hotel as well as the Trip Advisor reviews were five stars. The owner Pierre was incredibly friendly and witty. We had the duck and lamb and both were excellent. Pierre helped us with a wine selection - that worked... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
