LoVe this place, it was very sunny and warm, we sat in the garden and had a very good lunch . The service was so good as we could not eat cream, and sauce and they did their best to accomodate us ... We asked...More

Had dinner with just under 20 people from all over the world. The restaurant is definitely elegant, bringing memories from ages past. Service is outstanding and the 5 course meal we enjoyed memorable. I would say not sophisticated, but all course were way above average,...More

We only came here because this place was one of the rare restaurants that had a toilet for disabled as one of our guest was in a wheelchair and we had an event to celebrate. The place is aged, a bit pompous and tired. We...More

La Grande Cascade benefits from a well established name and great location (in theory). Those two things probably justify the Michelin Star, as the food itself certainly doesn’t. We took the 5-course menu, which consists in a suite of quite taste less courses, a plate...More

One could look hard for a more romantic, more memorable experience in Paris, but it would be hard to find. We would have preferred to sit on the terrace and listen to the waterfall, but too many people still smoke and I am allergic. The...More

We had a lovely champagne lunch outside on the terrace. We opted for the vegetarian menu (there was only 1 vegetarian option). Although it was HOT our experience was very good overall. There were annoying bees attracted by our food not terrible but annoying. 40%...More

Beautiful restaurant with two outdoor patios! Lovely trees, flowers and shrubs everywhere. The food is just as amazing as well! Beautiful presented, my fish was perfectly cooked! While very expensive, I was able to get a 40% off coupon through The Fork, their booking site....More

Short version: incredibly poor value for money. We had the larger tasting menu which looked great on paper, despite the very high price (almost €200 per person before wine). It was a competent tasting menu of traditional french style - that was nearly excellent, but...More

The staff and chefs were very responsive to special dietary needs. I don't eat seafood and they were happy to work around that. Just email them ahead of time.

Description
La Grande Cascade is a gourmet restaurant located in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne. For a romantic dinner in winter or an alfresco lunch on a sunny day in summer, La Grande Cascade is the perfect rendezvous for anyone who loves fine dining and beautiful scenery in Paris. Yet La Grande Cascade has not always been a restaurant, and this explains its unusual and truly exceptional decor. It was originally a lodge where Napoleon III, who came to the Bois de Boulogne to hunt, could take a rest. Over the years, La Grande Cascade has changed with the times while maintaining its unique "retro-modern" style. Inside, the gilding, chandeliers and mirrors offer a distinct charm to a residence that has retained its period magnificence.
