This place is phenomenal! The prices are super reasonable, the service is great for France, and most of all - the food is AMAZING! I frequent this restaurant, as I travel to Paris to visit my sister each year. When I was in Paris this past summer, I ate at this restaurant TWICE! I have tried many different items on... More

Beautiful Art nouveau building that seems to be the remaining edge of a larger building that was demolished (super cool). Fun staff. Great food cooked by ratatouille himself. The bone marrow serving was huge!! Had the best night here with friends.

Was here in October '15. Couldn't remember the exact location but wandered round the area last Sunday and found it. Nice people, lovely food, great venue and atmosphere. Not much more to say.

Perfect place for a lunch or diner. Food is very good and price are very reasonable regarding the quality. Service is above the Parisian standard and you don't feel you have to leave your table as soon as you finish your plate. one of the best addresses of the area

Went there repeatedly while staying in the neighborhood (Exquis hotel). Relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff, decent coffee, good wine, good cheese offerings, and the best vegetable soup I had in a long time (a luncheon special that came in addition with some goat cheese on bread - perfect). In general, their luncheon specials seem quite good. The pretty packed luncheon crowd... More

Thanks Tripadvisor for making me discover this place! A little off the beaten path for tourists and yet very close to lively areas (Bastille, rue de Lappe), this typical bistrot kept its original 1900's look and provides good choice of food - some also very creative. Fixed price menu is available at lunchtime but dinner is reasonably priced as well.... More

If you find yourself near Bastille, Le Bistrot du Peintre is an excellent choice for some hearty Auvergnat food, which will not cost you an arm and a leg, but be of excellent quality. The service is always friendly, tactful, and multilingual! In warmer months, the terrace is an excellent place to hang out and watch the street go by.... More

Very friendly staff, heated terasse full of young people. The food is good, the meat dish was top.I would choose a spicier chorizo and fuet and NOT store it in the fridge. Maybe I would swap it for french charcuterie as this has nothing to do with spanish restaurant.Or start with offering some kind of tapa.

Have a coffee and see the beautiful paintings and windows, and surroundings. The food was just average.

Decent food in a lively location – along with three other bistros on the same intersection. Standard fare: charcuterie plates, steak frites, a nice salade niçoise, all well made and at a reasonable price. And excellent people-watching.

Thank Scott M
