The Bristol is the quintessence of luxury from its lavish suites and spa to its manicured formal garden, rooftop pool and the dining area appointed with Louis XVI furnishings, mirrors, and tall French windows opening onto a lush green patio. I chose this restaurant for a very special occasion in Paris and I think I got it right. The outlay is very large and up to scratch. As you enter you already notice that classicism and elegance that you presuppose a three-star Parisian. The service is impeccable and they adapt to the type of customer, relaxing the corseting a little but making you feel special. The only glue I would put on the place is the spacing between tables, which could be a little larger. As for the food, very hardly improveable. Classic dishes but elaborated to perfection, the first and very balanced ingredients: the caviar is first class with a very creamy mashed potato that accompanies it perfectly. Foie cannelloni are very tasty and delicate because of their small size. Scotch Norway lobster comes with a very light sauce with heads and citrus. The balance between everything is millimetric, noticing the taste of crustacean and the rest of elements without highlighting any above the other. The salmon dish is also top notch: very spicy but without masking the taste of the fish, it accompanies the best salad I have ever eaten, dressed to perfection and that brings a freshness that I have never seen. The meat dish was the pularda in bladder, which I really wanted to taste. It didn't disappoint but a shame they didn't open it to us and make the show on the table. The breast is tender and juicy and that is accentuated by the accompanying white wine and butter sauce that makes the breast much more joyful and the wine gives it that little touch of acidity. I don't remember eating such a rich bird breast. The second service of the pularda consists of the wings, made to perfection and with more intensity of flavor of the meat. It allows you to distinguish each part of the animal and the different elaborations. Desserts weren't far behind. The freshest strawberries and the sweetest chocolate but mixed with chicory ice cream, which reminded me of the taste of coffee, and being the chcolate quite pure, does not clothe. There is also a cheese cart and if you order coffee (beware, at 19 euros!) you get a magnificent assortment of sweets to choose from. In short, it is a very Ceecano restaurant to perfection for my taste, if that exists at all. The service, the food, the small details.. The price is very high but if you go to Paris and you have to be surprised on one occasion as a hand order is a recommended place for it and you will have an evening and a day to remember for a lifetime.

Hats off to the food! I learned the true power of three-star French cuisine in Paris, France! Japanese French cuisine cannot compete with this! I truly think so. A truly famous restaurant! Food, service, everything was perfect. My wife and I were dressed in suits. There was a Japanese person in charge of the floor, and he explained the dishes very well. This is truly authentic three-star French cuisine in Paris. There was not a single dish that was gimmicky. The price was surprising, but the quality of the food and service was worth it. And the number of dishes was so great that I wondered if this was really lunch. The only dish that was more than amazing was Epicure's specialty dish, a whole chicken steamed in a cow's bladder. I was also surprised that the desserts came out one after the other! This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for my wife and me. I don't think I'll forget it until I die.

A Three Star Michelin inside the elegant Le Bristol Hotel. We had the 6 course tasting lunch menu (there is also an 8 course option). There is no set wine pairing but an excellent list. So we went with one bottle of white and one bottle of red and some Tokaj with the desert course for 4 persons. This particular menu was heavy on the seafood (but made creative substitutions for the one member of our party with a shellfish allergy). Brittany crab, Sea Scallops with watercress gnocchi adorned with caviar, Finisher John Dory with Galacian Sea Urchin for example. Each dish served with meticulous plating. Before desert there was a cheese course where each individual selected from a cheese tray that served perhaps the best cheese I have ever had from the restaurant's large cellar. The service was extraordinarily attentive. Obviously not inexpensive but definitely deserving of its stars.

We have been at the Epicure about half a dozen times over the past decade. Our visit this year will probably bring this series to an end. It is not that the dishes are no longer good. By and large, they still are—though for the first time, we found something to be unhappy with: the chef’s newfound penchant for curry. In our view, this ruined the blue lobster, the old recipe was better. In general, curry flavor is not what I would want in haute cuisine; if I want good curry, I’ll go to an Indian restaurant. The real issues are two: value proposition and customer care. In terms of value, relative to what is being delivered, the prices are no longer reasonable. With two courses (starter, main) and a glass of wine with each course, plus water and a coffee in the end, the bill came to almost 400 euros per person. Yes, I know, inflation and all that, but still. Part of the issue is that there are no more set menus other than the tasting menu, which is just a tad much for lunch. In terms of customer care, we found it amazing that every single time we go to Epicure, we are treated like new customers. Every time it is a blank slate—oh, you have dined with us before? If main street hotel chains like Marriott can keep track of preferences like foam pillows and high floors, surely the restaurant crown jewel in the Oetker Collection can keep track of past customers (with their approval, obviously)? How much more welcoming would it be to hear something like, “Welcome back, Mr. and Ms. X! We have your favorite outside table ready for you. Last time you enjoyed Y, can I recommend Z?”

We celebrated our anniversary for the 3rd time here and enjoyed an incredible lunch with the most amazing service anywhere. I am not usually someone who does a tasting menu but Epicure continues to offer one that is truly perfection. Not only is the variety and flavor on point, but the presentation is art. We are always treated so special and one thing my husband and I both enjoy is that even though this is all very formal, the wait staff have a fun sense of humor and by the end of our time together we have all shared a laugh. Thank you for once again making every little detail so wonderful.

Epicure is my favourite restaurant I have ever visited. I had fears that it would be old fashioned or pretentious but I was so wrong. Sitting outside in the garden was a dream. The servers were a dream. The menu was a dream. They wheeled out a cheese cart and a petit four cart and gave each person a custom selection based on their tastes, so it felt really personalised. The whole menu was just so perfect and every bite was delicious. Plus we got a loaf of sourdough as a gift when we left. Our evening was perfect in every way. I loved it so much!! If you are debating whether to go, just do it !!!

The Epic fail. The restaurant is located in the hotel Le Bristol. The most elegant settings ever. However, the dinner has failed badly. Before ordering a chicken we notified the staff that it has to be properly cooked. The chicken came ‘al dente’. It was not possible to realise the taste straight away, because of the sauce. The staff insisted it was cooked. I ate the few pieces of this but had to stop and switch to a lemon juice and bread. The chicken cost 390€ . I would expect it to be cooked. I do not expect to come to the restaurant of this level and control the cooking process. I had a stomach pain over the night and next day.

We booked this dinner a few months ago for our few days in Paris this August. We regularly enjoy Michelin dining but have not ever experienced a 3 star restaurant let alone taken our young children (4 and 6). The restaurant was extremely accommodating to our kids and outright offered better kid service than any restaurant we had ever been to. They were extra kind to the kids offering not only activities but also a specially curated kids menu and helping them (and us) with the experience. They took all of the stress out of us bringing our kids to a fine dining restaurant. We have been to a few on this Europe trip and Epicure offered the highest level service to them. The food for the kids was also exceptional. For the adults, the tasting menu was perfect. This was the best meal my wife and I have had anywhere. Service and food were amazing. Would recommend this splurge experience for anyone stopping in Paris. To echo other posters, it's expensive but worth every euro. Lastly, they were amazing for our sons allergy. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Go here.

Éric Frechon is no longer in charge, but the level has not changed: his entire talented team is trained to offer you a fabulous feast. The restaurant room is sumptuous, the service elegant and professional, matched only by its complicity in putting you at ease and pampering you during the 3 hours of this gastronomic fireworks display. Appetizers, starters (mythical Sologne caviar and haddock puree), main courses (Poularde en bladder signature, but also sweetbreads and pigeon), and desserts (vanilla, all in finesse, as well as hazelnut and the return of the picking), have once again amazed our taste buds. This feast was also accompanied by sublime bottles, Meursault, Vosne-Romanée and a magical Sauternes (Château Suduiraut) to finish. We will be curious to come back and taste the delights of the new menu that Mr. Frechon's successor will soon reveal, wishing him as much success and know-how to dazzle and delight Epicure fans. This is one of the top restaurants in Paris, on par with Le Gabriel, Le Cinq, Pierre Gagnaire Nice setting indoors and outdoors of Le Bristol They have a la carte and tasting menu, we had the latter. One of the few restaurants in the world where we think EVERY dish is perfect or near perfect. The caviar dish and honey dessert are mind blowing The service is also spectacular - professional and humorous. Unlike the cold treatment at some other michelin restaurants ( Astrance) How great are they? They allowed a family group to bring their 1 year old infant, who cried a couple of times during dinner

A birthday to celebrate ; We opted for the Epicure. Good for us. 2 tasting menus accompanied by a bottle of wine recommended by the sommelier. So, a ballet was set up in which everyone knows their score perfectly and recites its scales. No false notes in a delicious and warm atmosphere. Congratulations to all the friendly and kind staff. It’s the end of service for the sommelier; he comes to say goodbye to you. An exchange with each of them in joy and good humor. BRAVO and THANK YOU to the entire Bristol team. We will come back.

Couples visit on the occasion of an anniversary on Saturday noon September 16, 2023. We took the lunch menu (460 euros per person). There are no complaints about the meal and the quality of the food. Service also very professional. On the other hand, big downside at dessert time. A hair or hair or whatever was present. After remark, the dessert was immediately changed. We were then told it was a dessert brush bristle... which it surely is. However, upon reflection, this type of incident should absolutely not happen in a 3-star restaurant. What motivated me to write this review is that I was never contacted by email as is done to find out how our experience was. So in hindsight, we are ultimately left with a disappointment.

Lors du dressage des assiettes l’utilisation de pinceaux est effectivement fréquente pour obtenir des dressages nets. Toute l’équipe d’Epicure, la cuisine, la pâtisserie et la salle, accordent une attention particulière à chaque assiette avant qu’elle n’arrive sur table. Malgré notre vigilance, il arrive malheureusement que certains détails nous échappent. Third time at Epicure and we are still delighted by this exceptional gastronomic experience. This time we had the tasting menu. We enjoyed and loved all of the dishes. Special mention for the confit salmon whose accompaniment and sauce made from cucumber and puffed rice were exceptional We were very well advised by the sommelier on the choice of wine (Côte roaste 2009). Special mention also for our server Chris to whom we wish good luck for his next competition

Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez pu cette fois-ci découvrir notre menu dégustation regroupant tous les plats signatures de notre chef Eric Frechon. Le saumon cuit à basse température est un plat plein de couleurs et de saveurs et nous sommes enchantés qu’il vous ai séduit. Beautiful dining experience! After much deliberation, my husband and I picked Epicure for our one extravagant meal in Paris. We thoroughly loved the experience. This was our third three-star Michelin experience having also eaten at Alenia in Chicago and Single Thread in Healdsburg. While, the food was more innovative at the former two, the service at Epicure was unlike anything we had experienced. Flawless service really - elegant, choreographed, but also so warm and full of heart. Very well done Epicure team! The food was also exquisite. However, I think our favorite part of the meal was the wine selection by the sommelier Victor. Bravo! However, I have some advice for the restaurant. I would love for them to consider a no phone's policy while at the dinner table. The very international crowd at the restaurant mostly had their phones out for the full meal taking pictures, endlessly scrolling. It was distracting and distasteful in such a lovely environment. Thank you to the full Epicure team for a truly magnificent dining experience.

An exceptional dinner with the family for a birthday. The classic restaurant room is still magnificent. The welcome and the service are those of a large house, knowing how to adapt to the guests. Signature dishes always at the top... cannelloni, Bresse chicken in bladder Large langoustines, a delight. Mr. Fréchon, whom we met at La Verrière, knew how to constantly renew himself, knowing how to transmit. I have no doubt that the succession will be a success.
