Came here on recommendation by our air b n b host. Small local bistro with old style French atmosphere which we loved. No frills, tasty food with friendly service and great wine and cheese recommendation.

A local meat lovers haven. Le Gavroche has a lively bar and two small dining areas that fill fast. Reservations are essential. It is strongly suggested you be there for opening. The atmosphere is a bit hectic largely due to the bar crowd and smoke...More

This is for me the best "bistrot" ever. The food is high quality and served with so much modesty!!! The place is small and it looks like you're shooting a french movie in the 50's. The quantities are generous and the dishes always hard to...More

We had a lovely meal here, waiter was so helpful with translating the whole menu for us and the wine he recommended was perfect. Very meat based menu which was perfect for our party of 5 and the price was great, around €40 each for...More

We walked past this on our way elsewhere after already dining, but it looked so cosy we said we'd find it again after our visit to the Opera House the next day. We made a few wrong turns but did manage to find it and...More

Definitely must go, preferably early - it gets ridiculously crowded, as any good spot in Paris! Get their steak tartare (OMG!) and the "rhum baba" dessert, which is guaranteed to get you drunk pure on its own. A-ma-zing.

We booked ahead for a Friday evening following a recommendation from friends - the taxi driver had no idea where the place was as it is tucked away nicely down a side street. A proper charming French restaurant, the tables are set out in rows...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,
and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here,
modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and
cinemas sit side by side with French bistros
predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in
