We stumbled across this place for lunch and had I read the reviews probably would not have gone in. We sat inside but there are some tables on the sidewalk. The waitress was nice and helpful. We ordered a hot dog for my son which...More

First of all, I will point out that Paris has to be the most expensive city we have visited. Lunch for four will come in at well over €120 and not a lot to show for it. We had visited the louvre and didn't want...More

My husband and I stopped for lunch after spending the morning at the Louvre. I had the croque monsieur with salad, and he had an omelette with salad. Both were very good. There is plentiful seating inside and outside.

On our way to our late visiting to the Louvre we explored a bit the Palais Royal. We decided to eat something before entering the museum, due to the heavy rain we had to make quick decision. This place looked nice and clean. We entered...More

The service we received was excellent, the food and the wines were good, maybe a bit overpriced but seeing the location, 5 minutes walk from Musee du Louvre, I think it you can't do any better price / performance wise in this area.

Nothing to say but stay away, Rude, rushing orders made mistakes on order and waitress said too bad and ignored us. Brought us food we didn't order and would not take it off the order. Stay away.

The other reviews are kinda alarming about how bad the place is. Our apartment door was just a few feet from their front door, we would go in first thing in the morning, have a croissant and a espresso for 2 euro. The gal in...More

Paris. The Louvre. History. The restaurant is over 300 years old - according to their own website. And it does offer - in parts - a beautiful décor. But just in parts. For small business meetings you are conducted into a séparé at the very...More

The Ragueneau is a standard Paris Cafe, facing an agreeable streets ape near the Louvre. The coffee is okay but not out of the ordinary. I can't comment on the food.

Louvre / Palais-Royal
From the majestic Louvre to the regal Palais-Royal,
this neighbourhood oozes luxury. The grand arches
along Rue de Rivoli are shadowed by mosaics in front
of decorated vitrines and hotels. Place Vendôme is
lined with the world’s best jewelers and their
glittering window displays. Every other establishment
has someone to open the door for you or park your car.
You can spend hours gazing at its haute couture shops

Le Ragueneau restaurant in Paris two steps from the Louvre and the Palais Royale is one of the literatures most historic eateries. This is the location of the restaurant of Cyprien Ragueneau, 17th century chef, poet and great friend of Moliere and others, after whom Rostand named Cyrano de Bergeracs friend. The new incarnation is a chic, extremely French brasserie in warm tones of red and ochre with brass chandeliers, absolutely stuffed with Ragueneau-related art. Vincent Sitz, formerly of Taillevent, offers snacks and teas on the ground floor, more complete meals in the elegant first floor dining room, a modern menu inspired by Ragueneaus dishes, braised lamb en cocotte, salads, entrecotes, and especially tarts. The wine list is devoted exclusively to wines from Bergerac.
