We dined at Le Violon d'Ingres whilst visiting Paris for a short visit. The food was superb, a great menu that was original without being over complicated. As an example I had the scallop salad to start followed by pigeon and they were both perfectly prepared and presented. The service was also impeccable, friendly and attentive without being intrusive or... More

We had seen that the restaurant offers at lunch a 45 euros three courses menu with a substantial choice. We booked a table and asked for one far from the door. We got a very nice rather quiet table and were pleasantly surprised that our menu included a cup of champaign. My main course was scallops, 4 medium size ones,... More

We had the tasting menu to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and were delighted both with the quality of the cuisine, the service and the whole dining experience. While this quality of food is not cheap (especially given the pound/euro rate!), we both would recommend this restaurant for a special event if you are visiting Paris. We would certainly go... More

We had Christmas dinner at Le Violon d'Ingres and it was just the right place to be on Christmas night! Service was impeccable, the food was superb, and the atmosphere was elegant without being too fussy. Naturally the wine was amazing--after all we were in France--but it was just a wonderful evening! Thanks to everyone there! Highly recommend this restaurant... More

This is an admirable place, not cheap, but one enjoys haute cuisine and good service (not the usual pretentious service in French restaurants). The food is worthwhile the if you have a few hundreds of euro to spend. Very center of Paris.

As foodies, my husband and I always try to go to one Michelin Star rated restaurant whenever we get the opportunity, and of the ones we've tried, this one was my favorite. It was my favorite because the food was excellent, and the atmosphere while very fine, was friendly/inviting. It was acceptable for travelers in nice casual clothing. We ordered... More

Tucked in a doorway covered with vines, we almost missed it. When you enter it is lovely, tastefully done in a modern style. Sleek, but still cozy....elegant. French cooking with a twist. I had scallops cooked in white wine and salted butter. The butter in France is something I wish they had here, creamy rich and chunks of salt in... More

We loved this restaurant on the charming Rue San Dominique. We hosted dinner for 6 and could not have been more impressed with the food or the incredibly friendly service. My most memorable dishes were the spider crab jelly and Royal Hare. The sommelier was excellent in recommending two excellent types of wine to do with each course that were... More
