Came here on the suggestion of a friend. This is a 4 course restaurant (soup, main, cheese and dessert). I think there might be wine pairing with each course but we opted to choose a bottle of the shelf from the large selection. We had...More
On a Wednesday evening the restaurant was packed with locals enjoying the four course dinner. Courgette soup was brought to the table in a big bowl for us to serve to ourselves. This was followed by lamb with vegetables which had cooked all day -...More
Had the pleasure of dining at our favorite bistro in Paris! From the friendly greeting at the front door by owner Bertrand Bluy, to the efficient and seemless service of the staff-moving from French to English in this bustling and lively place, we have enjoyed...More
We recently went for the second time to Les Papilles. We had been a few years ago and remembered it as our favorite meal on that trip. They haven’t changed much and maybe that’s the problem.
The dinner is sort of family style. There is...More
You must make a reservation for dinner! Many were turned away on a Wednesday night without one. I had booked weeks in advance (just because, not because I had to) for a 7pm seating. We arrived a little early, but were seated just the same....More
This is a charming restaurant and my meal was incredible. I was seated at my reserved time and all of the servers were friendly and helpful. One person - the owner? - goes to each table and explains the day's menu. He was very nice...More
This was our second visit to Les Papilles. And there are many reasons we chose to return.
Three french courses (four, if you count cheese) that tastes absolutely magnificent, for 35€. All enjoyed in a charming, initimate atmosphere with good wine. The friendly, laid-back and...More
Apparently we had missinderstood the concept of the restaurant as we were presented with a 4-course meal for lunch. No a’la carte. A bit much we thought. Instead of walking out we stayed and had the 4-course feast. We got stuffed and enjoyed the food...More

Hi, don't let my wine experience hold you back. I am pretty certain you cannot bring your own wine. It's not a byob. The markup wasn't that drastic, and as a few have mentioned, the owner would probably be able to help you if you give him a price range for a recommendation. I mentioned how this works there for had I been more prepared to expect this, I would have probably been able to ask the owner for a wine at 25 Euros, but since I was taken a surprised I panicked a little and didn't give him a range.
Btw, since I did like that wine we had that night, I looked for it here in the States, and found it at well over $100 for it!
