They just serve burned noodles tasting like well like it has been burned. You see black spots. I've asked the waiter, he took back the plate and brought me a fresh one. Exact same issue. Black spots, tasted and smelled like burned food. What can I say, I never go here again. Roasted duck was decent, yet no sauce. Strange.

Came here with a bunch of colleague's for lunch. I've been passing outside this restaurant for years and I have always wanted to visit. On this occasion we came to have the dim sum lunch. They offer a special lunch menu for 21.50 euros per person (which admittedly is pretty good for this overpriced area in Paris). What you get... More

many choices, good Chinese food. it's inexpensive too. great if you want to have food on the go. better to bring it to your hotel room because there's not much in terms of ambiance.

This certainly isn't the best Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at, and in fact I've usually found it too subdued in its flavourings in deference to the rather spiffy locality it's in. But this year, the rather unfriendly old manager appears to have retired, and a younger generation of smiling managers and manageresses have transformed the ambience. My rating reflects... More

Just eaten, or not as the case may be, as I was served raw chicken. I ordered chicken ravilios and luckily I cut it in half before I put it in my mouth and I noticed the raw chicken. Knowing the dangers of eating raw chicken I asked to speak to the waiter immediately and I pointed out the raw... More

The Mandarin Passy Restaurant (not to be confused with the many "Mandarin" takeouts) has a good full menu but really does focus on the chef's specials. It is also one of the few to make its own dim-sum, which are always fresh and good - sadly rare in Paris!

I have been here many times over the past decade. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous last november (2014), where I didn't recognize the staff and felt that the food perhaps showed signs of fatigue. I decided to wait for a review until the next time... But no worries. The same people, the same wondrous and warm service, the same... More

We used to go there in the late '70s. The Passy Mandarin went upmarket price wise since that time, but the quality of the food remains pretty good and the decorum is nice. The service was fast and courteous. The dishes were very good, and nicely presented. We love rosé wine so we had a bottle of Minuty that complimented... More

Service is good and the carte is quite long, without the multicultural "if it's from Asia we cook it" approach of too many Paris Chinese. Dim sum are fresh and home-made (rare in a city where the tang brothers have a near monopoly on supplying bland identical pieces to all the restaurants). Peking duck is done properly as a full... Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
