A cosy atmosphere and a highly refined japanese cuisine. Small dishes but delicious. Good quality of products but missing a bit of quantity in the plates, especially the black cod. Service is unequal, from amazingly generous and nice waiters to more contemptuous ones... to improve.

I have at Yen couple of years ago. This time I was so surprised and disappointed by the mediocrity. Even the plates! Needs complete renovation from walls until the kitchen

YEN is a must. It is perfectly located around the corner of Café de Flore. Service is delicate and efficient and the food is exceptional. We like having lunch or dinner on the second floor. It is quiet and relaxing. As we are lucky enough to live nearby, we go to YEN once or twice a week.

Pricy but definitely worth visiting. I think this is the best soba you can get outside Japan. I strongly recommend to try Kamo serio.

My wife loves Japanese food. Me? Not so much. Too pretentious for my liking. However, that being said, we lunched here and for me it was OK. Two Bento Box with Soba and dessert with two glasses of Vouvray and a Perrier was, to my thinking, very expensive at €145.50. Still, my wife loved it, so what the heck? And... More

Through recommendations of my friends, I made a dinner reservation here last Friday evening. I arrived early and the restaurant was only half full at the time. We were seated promptly. Having perused the menu, I decided to order 3 starters to share with a main each. The starters I ordered were the sea urchin with tofu on a soy... More

If you love soba and are in Paris Yen is a must. Lovely room, great staff and wonderful place for a calm meal. Every time I am in Paris I must go.

Very authentic and very good Soba noodles and Japanese fare in the heart of Paris. Everything was tasty and well done. Excellent service and overall a good choice for Japanese in Paris. Will return for dinner.

A soba restaurant. Interesting and rare in Paris. A good choice of dishes and tasty. But too expensive for that type of food.

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
