This Saturday, October 7, 2023, we tested the Pavyllon menu at €248 as a family. The macaron is well deserved, well done to the whole team. A special mention for the liveche-glazed potatoes...a great moment, the stuffed romaine that accompanied the sea bass was just as great, the beetroot and spinach ravioli in broth..Wow!!! Everything was really very good. The gourmands that we are would have appreciated if the small black fruit meringue was a little bit more voluminous, but honestly it was perfect and we didn't come away hungry. I warmly recommend the address both for its cuisine and its flavors and for the impeccable service.

This restaurant is within a beautiful stately building in the park adjacent to the Champs-Elysees. During the summer there is outdoor dining, whilst during winter there is a conservatory adjacent to the main restaurant. The photos do not do justice to the atmosphere and experience.
Décor
The restaurant has a light and welcoming décor with a pre-small entrance hall to greet customers and a warm and welcoming reception. The long bar table gives most parties a pretty panoramic view of the activity of the kitchen. Separate to the bar are individual tables well spaced from individual guests, all of which present a good view of the action!
The separate pavilion conservatory does not have a view of the kitchen, but is light and airy and presents a welcoming environment.
We had a separate table but agreed that on our next visit we would elect for the bar table as unlike Joel Robuchon there is a larger gap between guests and it is a more welcoming and wider bar table top.
Cuisine
We arrived early and the service was swift and efficient. We selected the Champs-Elysees fixed menu but the team were happy to exchange one dessert for a cheese setting with no additional cost.
As is the way with all of his restaurants, there was a simplicity of the food, whilst blending the flavours to create new experiences.
The soft boiled eggs and tuna tartare starter was exquisite, delicate but full of flavour and freshness.
The steamed cheese souffle, a signature dish, was delicious with a lovely blend of flavours as well as the Albufeira sauce.
We separately tried the roast monkfish with cabbage extraction as well as the duck breast with gratinated toast and vinegar jus. Both were exquisite and the portion sizes larger than expected.
The cheese selection was not too complex, but well prepared and the sugar free meringue delicious.
The wine list was extensive and the sommelier had very cleverly created a wine of the day, being a classic vintage Bordeaux by the glass. An opportunity to try rare wines by the glass was a very clever idea and I hope that they continue this throughout the season.
Service
The team were warm and welcoming, seamlessly switching between French and English and explaining the dishes with passion and clarity.
The guests were multi-national with a good array of locals who clearly appreciated the quality of the cuisine.
We would strongly recommend the experience and will return.

A place at the counter as requested when booking, to enjoy the cooking show.

I was very hesitant to write a comment because I have to acknowledge the goodwill and visible enthusiasm of the young team in charge. The small candle prepared for the anniversary shows an appreciable attention. That said, these laudable intentions do not in any way excuse the many malfunctions encountered. We chose to celebrate two birthdays over brunch. Unfortunately, from the moment of arrival, the disorganization was palpable. One person managed the reception, the changing room and the placement of clients at the same time, which created an endless wait. The small space at the entrance only made the situation worse: we found ourselves cramped, crowded with other customers.
Once installed, the service never ceased to disappoint. Fluidity and responsiveness, essential in this type of delivery, were sorely lacking. After doing much research on great restaurants in Paris, this was high on my list. I hate to write bad reviews, but I can’t say something.
The good: the flavors of the food were excellent. The ambience is beautiful. The green lasagna was very good and in appropriate portion size, even by small French food standards.
The bad: while I am used to small portion sizes in Parris at fine restaurants, these were actually laughable in several cases. The stuffed zucchini flour was so minimalistic it was laughable. One little itsy-bitsy, tiny flower. And I mean tiny. Possibly two bites, but maybe better as just one.
The ravioli was really fantastic vegetable broth with some odd little miniature raviolis that distracted from the flavor of the broth. But instead of being billed as ravioli, it should’ve been billed as vegetable broth.
In terms of food, the tipping point for portion size was the steak. I believe it was over €60. It was three little teeny miniature pieces of steak. It seemed like some kind of joke. As if it was a palate cleanser and not build as an entrée. So even for Paris French food portion sizes it was petite . Très petite!
Last two things. The service was crazy rushed. Shockingly so for fine dining in Paris. At least four or five times they came over and asked us if we were ready to order even though we hadn’t even put down our menus. It was uncomfortable. The restaurant wasn’t even full , but they were acting as if they were trying to turn the table quickly.
And then the last tour was, we sat outside on the patio and I promptly got three mosquito bites. They are still there, annoyingly so.
So I’m writing this review in hopes that management will take notice. Buyer beware! Or rather diner beware!

An unforgettable moment for my 50th birthday. A refined, tasty cuisine, without the need to add anything to the title of the dishes. We found everything in the tastes, and in each mouthful a different flavor, for us, new to starry culture but who are very demanding, we We had a great time, great service and thanks to the manager who was working his last moments, we found him very sincere in his approach to customers whatever their appearance. I did not rate this a 3 because of the service and the atmosphere, both of which are lovely and above average. If I were to base this only on the food, it would have been a 2+/3.
We had the tasting menu.
First course was a crab appetizer. The flavor was good but there were some pieces of shell in both of ours.
The second course was the cheese soufflé that this restaurant is supposedly famous for - it was gross! Also, it isn’t a soufflé. It is steamed and not baked. They should call it “airy, jiggly cheese jelly sitting on bed of chicken gravy”. Really, it was unbelievably bad.
The third course was a lamb chop. It was tiny but delicious. It appeared that if you order this off the a la carte menu than you’ll get two of these tiny chops but you only get one if you get the set menu. It was probably 1.5 ounces of meat.
The final course was meringue with black berries. It was delicious but very simple.
The wine list is very impressive.

Third dinner in this restaurant since the opening and the general level remains at the top. Dinner last night at the Pavyllon. Welcome to the top, pleasant environment, no doubt it is successful. Taken into account by the room staff, again at the top. Small mouthwash. As a starter we both opted for the crunchy pie with cake. Probably the best choice of our meal. This is exceptional. As a main course my companion went on the raviole of scallop and black truffle. A bite at 62€, certainly very good, but there is still a little limit. For me the fillet of beef with pepper, nothing to say with a bonus of a most creamy sauce.
