This is now a Spanish restaurant under new ownership. I know nothing about it. It was crowded and clientele looked happy

Super cozy restaurant! The owner speaks very good english, and the atmosphere is very warm and friendly. It feels like being in some ones home. The kitchen is situated in the middle of the room, so you can watch while they prepare the food. Everything tasted home-made. Will absolutely go back if I visit Paris again.

I never miss going here for their delicious salads or hot meals and their wonderful desserts. My favorite is a chocolate orange tarte. They have a lovely assortment of teas as well. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and homey...as if you are in a friend's home. The owner's cat is usually lounging about. I have been coming here for over... More

Having read the many positive reviews we strolled by the restaurant at opening time at 7 p.m. on a Saturday night. Our hotel had telephoned that afternoon trying to make reservations at our request, but got only a dead line--no answering machine, which turned out to be a clue that meant that when we found the restaurant located on a... The Pompidou is my favorite museum in the world. It's open late, so I always leave hungry. Le quincambosse is just a couple blocks away. Very nice meals, some eclectic, some very traditional Alsatian (the chachoute is fantastic). Their tea is out of this world. They also do light meals, salads, etc. which can be hard to find at good... More

Variety of foods, from salmon to giant salads were tasty and well prepared. The staff were English speaking and answered questions to our satisfaction. Portions were grande! You might want to share the salad! The table wine was good and cheap. Get a reservation as it is not that big a place

Just absolutely and simply excellent... Just like last time. Once you have stopped in once, you'll find yourself drawn to come back on every visit to Paris. I love the tiny space, so cozy, and the owners could not be any more welcoming.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
