As our first meal in France, this food was AMAZING! It was also reasonably priced, with a really neat atmosphere. The service however, was extremely off-putting. My boyfriend and I noticed they had menus in English, but the waitress rolled her eyes at us when we asked to see them after receiving menus in French. She continued to speak to... More

We went there with a couple of friends to celebrate friends birthday, as it happened that he had to be in Paris on his birthday day. We wanted to have a place where we could grab few drinks before having a dinner all together, thus we have chosen this place. Unfortunately, this was a very bad choice. First of all,... More

We came here for a late dinner and very much enjoyed it. The menu was in English and the waiters spoke English. The basil (pesto) gnocchi was fabulous and the steak and chips were brilliant. Nice service and outdoor atmosphere.

Dropped by for dinner check of winter night. Half full. Reasonably quick service. Meals good value and tasty. Reasonable prices. If you are a non smoker or don't want smoke when eating then make sure you are no where near the door. The attempt to keep out the smoke with a heavy drape doesn't work.

We went to Delaville for a group dinner and drinks. As we were a large group we were seated upstairs which was perfect for us. The staff are very helpful and could easily cater for our large group. Would not hesitate in recommending Delaville.

Delaville has changed its menu but the food is still sub standard. Luckily the decor is beautiful and the big terrasse is a mut when the weather allows..or even in the winter when it's heated. If you are not a foodie but just want a place to chill out: this is the place. Otherwise, pass your way...

This place looks fun and lively from the outside- they are seriously let down by their staff however! We waited 15 minutes for 2 coffees... in the time we were waiting we watched our server smoking on the pavement outside the cafe...not an experience I will repeat. To top it off the coffee was bitter.

Nice terrace on the boulevards. One of the first trendy bars to open in this area of Paris. Service is often quite slow but not last time I went. Good cocktails and rather trendy. Decoration inside on the right side is definitely worth having a look: it's an old restaurant which was closed for many years.

Dear Cyrills212, Thank you for this warmfull comment. Indeed, The old Marguery was a brothel in the beginning of the 20th century. We kept some of the wonderful rooms of this period. More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
