Super chic area in central paris, best past I have eaten, even better than Italy. The staff and food are 5star. I most especially love the location on the cobble stone streets where the world can connect with beautiful fresh food.

Really enjoyed the place. There is no English menu but that is not a problem as the waiters all speak English. There are loads of specials on a board as well as the menu. Good wine as well. The tables are packed together so ideally you don't really want to move once you are seated. Don't normally eat Italian food... More

I was a crazy client here for years, when the economy was good. Went there three dinners a week, sometimes more Food is excellent Owner Orelio is a real gentleman And the thing about this restaurant is that I discovered a new taste regularly surprisingly One of the best authentic italian cuisine to me

Super authentic Italian food in a cozy little spot. Everyone's meal was excellent I recommend trying one of their specialty items along with any of their staples on the menu. Don't be afraid to have them recommend a wine pairing. We had a great wine bottle of red we had never had before. It is located in a typical French... More

Bucatini and prosciutto with melon were outstanding. Friendly staff. Tiny place but very good. Just off Montorgueil.

We were a bit lost in Paris to find something suitable to eat for the taste-buds of a 15 year old vegetarian. Finally we stepped into the Osteria Rugger that displayed some more sophisticated vegetarian options on the menu. The staff was friendly and recommended us some really nice starters - unfortunately we did not understand that the starters would... More

Had dinner with the family and the manager was super nice and helps us poor English speaking tourists with the menu. The sea bass and drinks we awesome, but a sad miss on my wife's ravioli dish which came out after the rest of us were done and the ham was mostly fatty meat. The manager comp'd the dish to... More

We had dinner at this little Italian restaurant. The pasta was perfectly cooked and tasted so good - we has spaghetti al vongole and spaghetti pomodoro et Mozerella and some antipasta first. The Meat afterwards was also delicious. The place is small (serves approx. 20) and very, very cozy. They are all Italian, and very attentive & helpful in (off... More

Cozy atmosphere. Food well presented, with simple favors that really worked well together. Started with the five course antipasti for two, recommended. Entrees were well portioned. Holding back the fifth star was the overall service - (too) fast to start, then when it became more crowded it slowed down to be too slow. Overall, a worthwhile place to go and... More

Description
The passion for Italian regional cuisine and knowledge of high-quality products make this hideaway restaurant. No dishes that "similar" to those of Italian cuisine, but dishes made according to the respect of the culinary tradition, highlighting the quality of ingredients. Many products come directly from Italy, like the PDO cheeses, cold cuts, extra virgin olive oil, peeled tomatoes for sauces and of course the traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena, others arrive all market days rue Montorgueil. No way here to have coaching where pasta with cream. Pasta is obviously cooked to order, so it should not be in a hurry if you eat at the Osteria Ruggera.Encore Italy for quality of wines, among the small independent producer and castles with huge productions . As for the service can define the casual, informal, polite and efficient in a friendly but not stereotypes.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
