My wife, along with her cousin, and I had dinner at Godjo and relished the experience. Delicious, spicy food in a quaint setting. Lovely experience.

We visited 3 ethiopian restuarants in paris and this was the best we experienced. Its a very small place but with queues out of the door. Everybody enjoyed the food. Make sure you book before you go or sweet talk the owner like we did! The staff were great and answered all our requests

We have been to this restaurant many times and would highly recommend it. The food is great, generous portions and lovely flavours. The fact that people queue to get in is testament to the quality of the place. A great, authentic experience that contrasts Paris' overpriced establishments and tourist traps.

Came as group of 6. We all shared the same big dish and ate with our fingers as is normal with Ethiopian cuisine. The problem is for 6 there really isn't much. 2 others of our group arrived late and got half the size of our plate at the same price for themselves. I guess the trick is to ask... More

Honestly some of the best food I've had in Paris. Cute tiny quaint place with really incredible food. Was with a group of 7, ordered beer wine and tea. The chef was very attentive to my concerns about grave food allergy to lentils. We had the platter with 6 selections, beef, lamb, chicken, spinach, beets and potatoes, chicken pea puree.... More

We had dinner at that place one hot day in August and had shared several delicious meals but ended up sick the next two days, we expect part of the food was not fresh ...

This is really good Ethiopian cuisine. All the ingredients were fresh, and the kitchen knew what to do with them. Three of us shared a giant vegetarian platter of nicely spiced legumes and vegetables. The flavor combinations were perfect. The injera (fermented teff flat bread) was light, with crispy edges. None of us had the meat dishes, but if they... More

We visited Godjo, near the Pantheon, with a friend and ordered a vegetarian platter for 3 , along with carafe of rosé wine and a beer. The meal was served promptly , with generous sides of injera and we enjoyed it immensely: spicy brown lentils , yellow split peas, spinach , cabbage , lettuce and tomato , mildly spiced lentils.... I loved this place so much, been twice and by far two of the best meals I've had in Paris. Food is served all in one large dish and eaten with hands and crepe-style flatbreads and really encourages you to try different things and share the experience with your friends. The food itself was beyond delicious, a wide range of... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
