My family and I spent a weekend in Paris for my mother's 60th birthday and we were fortuante enough to get a table in this tiny restaurant. At first I was not sure whether or not this was a good choice for a 60th birthday, but I was just blown away (and therefore I decided to write my first online... More

We went here on our last night in Paris and I am so glad we did. The food and service were amazing! Roberta our waitress and host was very helpful with suggesting what drinks, plates, & dessert to get. Everything was so delicious. I had their signature soup as a starter and let me tell you it was by far... More

We found this restaurant through Trip Advisor and agree with the ratings! Such a cute little restaurant, only enough for 20 or so people, very intimate and wonderful food. We both ordered steak for only 14 euros which seemed to good to be true but it was so yummy. Came with some nice crispy potatoes, green beans and salad. It's... More

We had dinner here based on reviews. I only need to make one point: everyone (EVERYONE!) here was speaking English. This is a just-ok spot for tourists, no locals. Not special. Only ok. And ok isn't good enough for Paris. You can do better. Walk on.........

Maybe the food is special. We'll never know. Upon arriving on a Thursdsy night at 9:00 at the restaurant, it was small and packed. Still excited and expecting to return, I inquired about whether the creme brulee was as good as reviewed- the best in Paris- and the female greeter replied, "I don't know about all of that, but it'll... The meal we had here was fantastic, we had a bottle of very good white wine, a starter to share and two main meals. It all came to under €60...the steak was 'the best ever' Whilst a bit of a shabby setting it was really pleasant away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. I would highly recommend, a great... More

While we were in Paris, we were looking for a quaint, off the beaten path, place that served great food. Using Yahoo & Yelp, we came across Le Potager and thought we'd give it a try. Most people gave it high marks as it had 4 1/2 stars on both sites. First off, the place is really small, so I... More

My wife and I made sure we hit the "kitchen garden" after a week in Provence and before returning home. Very lovely waitress and the chef came out during slow time and enjoyed an aperitif at our table. Charming, wholesome and a sense of the farm to table, sustainable and seasonal movement.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner while visiting Paris and were turned away because they were too full but were encouraged to make a reservation to come back the next day. I'm glad we did! This was our best meal we had in Paris! I had the Smoked Duck Tartiflette which was amazing and the creme brulee was... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
