Going to have a meal at L'Ecurie feels like a trip back in time to an older Paris, even before Haussmann got going with all his boulevards. For those who don't know, L'Ecurie means 'The Stable', and it really was an old stable, which is...More

A Scottish woman and English husband living in Paris recommended L'Ecurie to us one night in 2009. Have been back perhaps 5-6 times. It's rustic with tiny spaces, so close to each other you can easily hear other diners' conversations. Dark wood. Oven smack in...More

Authentic Paris! Very few tourists, lots of students from the Sorbonne and other locals. Not fancy food, just good food. Will be in Paris again this summer and will definitely return to L'Ecurie

High up near the Pantheon, on the corner of a couple of winding streets, is the classic "classic French bistro" L'Ecurie. We strolled in off the street, or we would have done if we hadn't eaten outside, which was a stroke of luck given both...More

Always return! Very small so make a reservation. The owner Mini, has run this tiny restaurant for 50 years. Be sure to get the fillet which will be grilled to your liking!
