Stopped in for a drink, decided to stay for dinner.....a great decision! This wonderful local bistro just across from the Jardin Luxembourg was delightful! Great ambiance, we both had the lamb dish which was fabulous! Capped off with delicious creme brûlée, it was a wonderful evening. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive, helped us with our French but also spoke English.... More

Highly recommend everyone to try out this French restaurant, especially its ratatouille (may be spelled wrong)! The duck in honey sauce and its side dish, a potato tower (try it), is the best! Recommend duck cooked to medium or at most medium well to maintain its texture and flavor. As mentioned before, ratatouille is amazing here! However, it doesn't come... More

We had lunch here our first day, very cute place. Tables are really close, and they were very busy on a Saturday, but the food was good and the service was great. My sisters had the quiche lorraine and I had the beef tartare (really good, as were the fries). Good location too.

This place is right across the street from the Lux Gardens and the outside tables have a view and catch the afternoon sum. Had a very competent croque provencal . Good service, good location, solid food.

Enjoyed an evening meal here, we were upstairs on the mezzanine as it was busy at tea time. The pavement tables were full of people having a drink and watching the world go by. The waiting staff were pleasant and helpful, the food choice is not huge but enough to find something for most people though not specifically children. We... More

Great food. Quick service. Sat on small mezzanine. Whilst quite cramped, it made for a cosy atmosphere. Meat platters were particularly good. Ideal for sharing with drinks. Tuna was great and the meat of the day was excellent

We had dinner here one night during our stay in Paris and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is calm. The staff is friendly and the food was great. No complaints at all. Pair it with Luxembourg Gardens and you have a great afternoon ahead of you!

A lively cafe that serves delicious unpretentious food. Friendly staff who spoke good English as well as humouring my attempts at French. The portions are huge. One croque Monsieur would have been fine to share between my two kids (6yo and 8yo). For the adults, the steak and chips was amazing. We'll be back tomorrow to try the delicious looking... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
