Visited here ten years ago and returned last week to find it as warm and welcoming as ever, with great food. Visited twice in three days. Staff are great and the Maitre D was gracious and very generous....also accommodating of my stilted French! Four friends in my party at Sunday lunchtime..and we all ordered the risotto with summer truffes...absolutely delicious... More

I had a great time in this nice restaurant. I've ordered the tuna tartare and the duvk breast. Both delicious and very well done. It's a nice place for a romantic dinner!

My friend and I stopped in for just a snack and were treated graciously. I loved my Tuna Tartare so much! It was tasty and beautifully presented with a fresh and colorful garden salad. Because of the good food and kind service, we invited two more friends to join us again that evening for dinner. Everyone was thrilled with their... More

A must when in Paris. This restaurant has been one of our favorites for many years until they went downhill for some time. Well, they revived the kitchen with a new team and it came back to its glory days.

I looked at a few places before entering here. It looked inviting. The meal was very good, a spaghetti dish and the wine was average. Service was typical Parisienne, so enough said. If I was passing again, I would be happy to visit again.

Convenient place with good selection of meals and drinks. They also serve several wine selections in 37.5 CL bottles, like the Sancerre (which was splendid!). Food options were also very nice. We loved the oysters and also the beef, chicken and sea bass we had were very good. During a second visit we enjoyed a light lunch at the restaurant... More

We just stumbled upon this place while walking back to our hotel from La Madelaine church. There were quite a few places in the area but there was something intriguing about this one. Food was really good. Service was really nice and the place was very elegant. Highly recommended.

The title is self explanatory. It is a shame that the waiters are lazy and arrogant. The place is nice and the food is not bad.

This restaurant is better suited for drinks and desserts than to full meals. I completely enjoyed my glass of wine and the creme brûlée was crafted exactly right. The meals we ordered left much to be desired. The steak I ordered was very poorly cooked. The potatoes au gratin served with the meal were okay, but nothing great. So the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
