Here we are in Aigues-Mortes, my wife and I at the start of our 2 week holiday. The Galion is very French , no English speaking here. Food was very good. The service excellent. The Restaurant is full of character. Toilets are spotless. This is a nice find in the little streets of Aigues -mortes

Duck and chicken on the rocks was excellent. Sauces great, reasonable prices. Service good. Dauphinois potatoes perfect with meal. Location easy to find.

Visited this for the third time in 5 years and the food just keeps getting better every time i visit. The menu is to die for with so many fantastic french dishes. The staff are fantastic and really accommodating. This time i brought my friends along to share the experience with 14 English people at the table the staff did... More

Having gone to the trouble of reserving a table on their terrace, we turned up on time. All tables were taken, we enquired politely where we were to sit. A grin, a shrug. Full up! One table, mid meal, suggested we have theirs as they wished they weren't there!

The owner of our B&B shared a list of several restaurants he recommended. We wandered into Le Galion. The food was very good (though, I should have rethought my order -- to cook scallops on a stone since I don't cook at home!). My meal took some thought and attention on my part but that's part of the fun I... More

Had lunch recently in Le Galion - the food was very disappointing. I had duck and my husband went for steak. The quality of the meat wasn't great at all. Poor return for the price. Also had to queue behind 4 other people to use the 1 toilet..took a good 15mins! Would not go back.

One to return to even if there remain others to try …. a good litmus test. Pleasant interior and small terrace on the street will be operational as the weather warms up. Service good, likewise cooking quality. Although the latter does not come into play for their signature offer - pierrade, which means a hot stone on your table on... More

We choose this restaurant after walking round most of Aigues-Mortes and reviewing menus.......... and we weren't disappointed. Excellent service and the price of the 'plat de jour' menu was 16 euros. This included a starter - mine was oeufs cocettes and it was delicious and piping hot - mains and dessert. Good sized portions for the starter - often on... More

It's difficult to rave about the cuisine when you cook your meal yourself! There were pre-cooked alternatives, but the options we chose involved the diner being presented with a plate of raw meat or fish and a hot stone to cook the food on. It's great fun, and the quality of the ingredients was good. Everyone in our party pronounced... More

the speciality of this restaurant is meat and fish grilled on your own on a hot stone. the meat was delicios and was served with a couple of different sauces (they do free refill if you ask). staff and location were perfect, aigues-mortes is such a nice old-town with a lot of lovely restaurants. the dessert was superb as well,...
