One of the waiters must be the rudest miserable man I have ever come across in the service industry. The bar is nice and homely, but this guy makes you want to get up and leave - that's what we did after only one drink.

We stopped here for an afternoon coffee and cake. The staff did not show much interest in us, but we waited anyway. After some minutes, we got a table. The waiter did made an effort and spoke English. He brought the coffees, but the cakes never arrived. They were in the bill, though. The bill was corrected, but I doubt... More

We were afraid this would be a tourist trap, being on one of the main squares of the old city. Far from it. The Cassoulet and wild boar stew were excellent. Waiters speak many languages to really make you feel welcomed, I have the impression there is almost continuous service. Very good meal.

We visited Carcassonne in January. Since there weren't a lot of options to have lunch, we decided to try this place. I tried a croque with different kinds of cheeses, and it was very tasty. We also had breakfast here a couple of days later, and it was very fresh for a very reasonable price. Both times we visited the... More

The food was OK and it was a Sunday evening. We were handed English menus even though we speak French and live in the neighborhood. We did see one server throw chairs around as he had to make room for a child. Native French speakers were well attended to but it seems that the staff could care less for what... More

Came here for breakfast. Excellent omelets, juice, coffee and baguettes at anew affordable price. 35 euros spent for four people. Kids had a good time and enjoyed the hot chocolate.

We didn't fancy breakfast at the hotel and luckily the taverne was open. Croissants they serve as a part of petit dejeuner formule 2 are gigantic, absolutely fantastic, and very tasty. Kept us full almost all day as we were wandering around the city.

This was a great find. The meal was well prepared, and the outdoor seating perfect on a fall day. The service was good and it was a busy day, so the staff were working hard and still providing quality service. Very nice experience.

This place is in the ideal location, right in the square at the heart of things. Would have really loved to have sat here all day to take in the relaxed atmosphere. The place itself is clean and modern but of course it is set in the rustic location of the amazing walled town of Carcassonne, The beer selection was... More
