French food prices are a bit of a shock in some restaurants. We were pleased with the quality, choice, value and attention from staff at this restaurant. We went back twice. The place was busy but not uncomfortable. There were several local groups there on all occasions which is a good sign. Each night we had something different and it... More

The food was excellent. Duck salad, pizza and Calzone. Absolutely full of locals who had obviously been before. Unfortunately they somehow lost our order so everyone who came after us got their food first. We complained and after many apologies from 3 waiters the food was delivered 10 minutes later with free beer and wine. So yes a bit of... More

We ate here on our one and only night in Carcasonne. The whole town seemed deserted, the streets empty other than a few characters and army soldiers patrolling. The restaurant actually offered a nice and relaxed environment, quite the opposite to the rest of town. The food was good and reasonably priced. The waiter actually worked in a restaurant close... We went to have a meal on our first night in Carcassone. This place was recommended by local girl as the best place to try traditional food. So we tried. It didn't impress us at all. First of all the menu was only in French so it was tricky to order coz we didn't know what we r ordering. So... More

We drove past here on our way home from Montpellier yesterday. We parked the car, had a quick look on trip advisor and had a walk down. It's a little less quirkier than the initial drive past had presented but we went in and were seated immediately. Some of the nicest staff we have met so far, we met almost... More

A regular restarant for us as it's garanteed that all the family will be happy. Pizza and pasta to a good French standard, not Italian, hearty portions and a pleasant environment. Usually busy.

After visiting over 30 restaurants and coming to expect a 30 min wait prior to the first glass of wine or water, I was floored when I had a pizza and bottle of wine on the table in 15 minutes. This was a Weds evening in October but the place was well staffed and had a moderate clientele. I'd rather... More

Another restaurant recommended to us by Séverine at Hotel Astoria (see my review). A little bit hard to find as it sticks out into the footpath behind a row of shrubbery and it's name is not prominently displayed. Persevere because it is good - very good. As usual we arrived early, bang on 7.30pm which was just as well because... More

Excellent. Deserves much better ratings. Lots of French people eat here and you aren't overpowered by English speakers as you might find in the central square or the medieval city. We went for specialities rather than pizza. Really nice food. Great value for money.
