We ate here last night and it was fabulous. The food was excellent value and the service was brilliant. Great music too, and the waitress Eleanor was a wonderful example of how waiting staff in all restaurants should be, pleasant, efficient and knew what you wanted with out being asked! Can't recommend this place highly enough, Carcassonne is a bit... More

Wonderful restaurant located in front a haunted medieval well. Was once the meeting place of witches! Now the most charming restaurant in Carcassonne. The entrecote steak is just perfect. Friendly and helpful service. Includes a wide selection of affordable local wines. Be enchanted-we were!

We had dinner here and the fixed price menu includes an aperitif, which is a nice touch. Service was good and the food very good. We ate here twice as many of the other restaurants in the lower town, towards the church, were closed.

The team of women servers at Le Plo are the best. The provide outstanding service with a smile, maximizing the table space without being pushy. The food is great too. Ate inside on a chilly night but the outdoor seating looked pleasant as well.

Went to this restaurant as it is in a quieter location than the main square. The menu is similar in many restaurants in Carcassonne, so there is little to choose between in that regard. The staff were friendly and welcoming and service was prompt. We had the local house wine, which was so good we are trying to order a... More

My husband and I ate at Le Plo on the recommendation of the owner of the B&B where we were staying. It was a hike up the path to the old city, but we made it in 10 minutes to arrive exactly on time for our reservation. The fixed menus are very reasonably priced ... a much better deal than... More

Searched Carcassonne for a fish stew but the regional speciality is cassoulet with either Toulouse sausage or duck but this restaurant had cassoulet de Poisson on the menu. We had to wait 20 minutes for it but it wax well worth the wait! Delicious.

People either love or loathe La Cité, but the one thing that is certain is that it can get really busy. This restaurant is just off the main square and was relatively quiet when we arrived. The food is good, the service attentive and the house wine in pichets is very drinkable. A real find.
