So glad we found this gem! The staff was great and translated the French menu for us and made sure we were having a good time. The veal was tender and so well marinated. The portion was very generous as well. My boyfriend had the risotto and it's the best risotto we have had so far!! The chef also made... More

There is a saying in life that you can't choose your family. Well, if I could choose my family, it would include Alexis and his sister, the owners of Le Bistrot. I dined alone at Le Bistrot on Friday night, a little uneasy as I was embarrassed of my dreadful french. I need not have worried. Alexis welcomed me with... More

Not a lot of choices on the menu, but the risotto St Jacques and tarte tatin I had were superb. The service was very friendly

Super duper recommended. To start, I had the grilled Camembert. It was simple, but gooily awesome. For my main, I had a lamb chop with mashed potatos. The lamb was very nice, but the true highlight was the mashed potatoes. They were the best I've ever had-period. For desert, I had THE BEST Crème Brulée I've ever had, and I've... More

If you are lucky enough to book a table then you are in for a treat. We went along early (at 6.30pm) and managed to secure the last table for the evening. Evening service starts at 7.30pm and I think if you haven't booked you will probably struggle to get a table. The main courses we tried, a Cote de... More

A great little place run by a small but very friendly staff. The food was excellent and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a nice, well-cooked dinner in a relaxed atmosphere.

Madame Gaëlle is the chef. She worked with French chef Jean Louis Paladin at the Watergate in Washington, DC a few years ago. Her brother, Alexis serves their guests in this small restaurant. I can't say enough good things about how the two siblings work together to bring their guests a memorable dining experience in a very friendly, unpretentious way.... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel (Pullman) who also helped us get reservations for four. The restaurant opened at 7:30 but we arrived at 7:00 so we had a glass of wine at the large bar next door. Once seated at our restaurant, our waiter (also co owner) presented the chalkboard menu and explained (in English!) what each item... More

This is an atypical review, because we didn't actually eat here. We were walking in the area and decided at the last minute to try to get a table for two on a Wednesday night, our last night in town. When approaching the still-closed exterior, a guy engaged us, saying that he was the co-owner and that they were fully... More
