Diane’s is a must place for fresh fried clams. I can honestly say best I ever had. Fresh and a generous portion.

Stopped for lunch while camping nearby. Very busy spot for lunch. We arrived just after they opened and no real organization when it came to lines for ordering and picking up. Food was fine; bit pricey. They had live entertainment in the afternoon. Dining room...wasn't open so takeout very busy.More

My partner and I stopped in on the way to Advocate Harbour. He ordered his first-ever fried clams and chips and I would defy a high end Japanese restaurant to come up with a lighter batter and more tender clams. I had a scallop burger...and onion rings. The scallops kept popping out of the bun there were so many! We really wanted dessert but were full to the brim! Highly recommended, as is the breathtaking scenery on this shore.More

This is a simple restaurant with warm, pleasant service. We visited on a rainy day, so not many people were out and about. The service was prompt. The menu reminded me of food from Massachusetts and Maine and I wanted to taste a bit of...everything! My husband had the lobster roll which was properly grilled and lobster mixed with mayo (I prefer plain lobster with drawn butter) but it was still fresh and good. We split a bowl of the seafood chowder - and they were generous with the seafood, lots of clams, yummy scallops, and a big hunk of fish along with potatoes. The chowder wasn't thick with cream, but it was tasty- we added salt and pepper. I ordered the fried clams and the clams were hot and in a nice light batter, obviously freshly fried and a generous serving.More

We stopped here for lunch-absolutely great. Steamed clams and the best homemade coconut cream pie I have had for many years. Pie pastry was outstanding also. Friends had the blueberry pie and it was packed with fruit. Staff were so nice and obliging and the...place was clean and busy. Would go back in a heatrbeat.More

Great place to dine while in the area. Stopped for lunch and the place was hopping. We quickly saw why as the food selections got delivered to the surrounding tables including a table of 4 that all ordered banana splits. YUM! We were much to...full to indulge in dessert since the food portions were very generous. Friendly efficient service as well.More

Who knew clams could taste this good? I had given them up, but reviews of Diane's lured me. Some magic combination of batter ingredients and frying regime seals in delicate clam flavours I never knew existed. Don't miss these if you are in Nova Scotia.

We plan a stop here at least once a season. I always have the clams and was not disappointed as they were delicious. The seniors portion of clams & chips was just the right size and price - $8. The plate of clams only is...$13 and would be more than I would be able to eat. My companion enjoyed the 2 piece fish and chips and chose 1 of haddock and the other flounder. The service was quick, the waitress efficient and friendly. As always I will return!More
