Pleasant surprise. Great buffet at a very reasonable price. Entire casino & restaurant are impeccably clean & well stocked. Staff are all extremely pleasant and welcoming. First visit here and was pleasantly surprised. If you are traveling on highway 1 east or west, do yourself a favour & travel the short 10 km on #5 hwy south of Carberry for a great meal & reasonable casino entertainment. Glad we did. Will be back.

We often go to the Sand Hills Casino not only to test our luck but for the atmosphere & the food. The Dunes is a top notch all you can eat buffet in the Casino, try their bannock, the best I've ever had.
The Oasis Lounge is where we often dine. Staff are great in both the Dunes & Oasis. Live performances in the lounge every Friday & Saturday, always free & lively!
This is a fun experience! Great place for seniors, singles & couples. No minors of course. Check out their web site for dining, gaming, live upcoming music, Gold Club & special promos. We love it & frequent this Casino often.

My wife and I stopped in yesterday for an early supper in the lounge. Dio, the bartender, made her a special cocktail, that she loved. He has a great personality and made our meal more enjoyable. The burger and fries were well prepared and tasty.

A friend and I visited on a Wednesday when the lounge has their $7.77 meal deal. We both ordered the pickerel - it was awesome! Plenty to eat. Buffet is also well served. Definitely worth the drive!!

It was a bit of a drive to get there, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. The whole building is dimly lit with cabin-like decor, but was a little difficult for my mother and sister to see where they were going. The buffet was awesome (but some of the food was a little cold). Free live music on a Friday night 'Shake, Rattle & Roll' played some great toe-tapping music and winners were announced over the intercom all night. Staff was friendly, helpful and teased me about breaking the machines Hehehe (it was only one). Non-smoking casino, but they had a smoking area outside (by the Dune restaurant). Gift shop was small but had some laughs with the staff about the new Halloween decorations. Only my second time visiting, but I'd come back.

Simply the best Prime Bib and Shrimp, Crab Legs in Manitoba. There is none better and the price is ever so right. Buffet includes beverage and desert (Cheese cake). Then they give you a 25% discount for becoming a gold Club member at NO cost to you. Wow..

My friends and I were there on a Saturday for the first time. We thought we would try the buffet. Well we arrived at 1230 and there was a line up and when we went to get our food we noticed that there were no buns left, some of the dishes were low on food or empty but staff did indicate to us to be patient as they were low on staff and more food would be coming out, well this was not true, so if you are going to eat at the buffet go early. Also there were 2 bus loads before us, so it seems that the kitchen staff were not prepared for a large crowd,
Lounge needed more items on their menu, like hotdog, assortment of sandwiches and also 2 different types of soups.
Sure would have been nice to stay at the casino, but no accommodation. That way if you got tired you could go and lie down in the afternoon. One of our friends was a senior and staying at a casino for 12 hours was alot for her.
Would of liked to have a fruit plate as oppose to rich desserts after the buffet. Desserts were given to you by the waitress, they were not part of the buffet.
We were told by one of the staff that the casino opened up at 10am on sunday so we left our hotel early to find out that the casino does not open until 12 noon, so we were very disappointed as we wanted to gamble a bit more before heading back to winnipeg. Staff need to be better informed.
A very nice casino, staff are friendly, would have liked to see some machines that Club Regent offer.

We do not do buffets generally but happened to go to this one on my birthday. Shocking. With the newly gotten Gold Card , two buffets were $11.00 as it was my birthday.Food was very good- shrimp, teriyaki meatballs, etc. Looking forward to the sea food buffet on Friday evening.

This was our second trip to the Sand Hills Casino. The first time we went to the dinner we had the buffet dinner. Meal options were good, but we found many of the dishes were not as hot as we'd have expected. Service and atmosphere was great. This time, we headed out for an evening with friends on a Thursday, and enjoyed the happy your wing special. Wings were awesome at under $5. for 10. Some of the nicest we've had for a while! Service was great, fun atmosphere for those of us that just do the casino thing a couple of times a year for a fun evening.

This Buffet is well stocked with a variety of dishes on different theme days. But the main surprise is melt in your mouth tender succulent Prime Rib, Shrimp, Crab Legs, Salads and much more.. With a half price Wednesday special..
