We were so excited to find a place that was open late that didn't charge a ton for dinner. L'Alcyone was a little farther from the port than other places we saw, but we were so glad we walked the few extra steps to get there. We got a lovely fixed price dinner for under 15 euros with salad, main... More

We were a party of 6 last Sunday for lunch and we spent a very enjoyable moment in this restaurant. The service was very good as was the food. I had the fish soup which was served hot and the others had the deep fried cheese which was delicious. After I had the mussels which were piping hot which is... More

Good range of stuff on the menu at reasonable prices. Service not hurried - allow time! - but not ridiculously slow. Staff happy to speak French or English as you prefer. Food very good and prices reasonable. Terrace area is covered and there is a smaller interior section. Open quite late, useful if you arrive late as we did. Just... More

A good restaurant we ate breakfast at, not in the immediate tourist centre, which is nice. Basic but good breakfast or lunch.

A little gem. Innovative menu, including a paneer and mushroom starter, and , having convinced the waitress that “Choucroute” meant puff pastry, a fish (salmon, cod, smoked haddock, prawn, langoustine) medley on a bed of sauerkraut with hollandaise sauce! Superb!! A variety of dishes including charcuterie, chicken and lamb were also declared successes. Tarte Normande was notably better than many,... More

We didn't set out to eat here but it's just around the corner from the laundromat and we had 40 minutes to kill. Service was very friendly , coffee was nIce and strong. Quirky little place and they have wifi which I was happy to use. We also ordered a cheese and mushroom omelette .. The omelette coffee and slices... More

We returned from a long, inspiring day visiting the incredible D-Day museum in Caen and the nearby American memorial cemetery. We asked the desk person at our hotel, the Mercure, for a dinner suggestion...something simple. She suggested from a handy list she quickly produced for us several restaurants within walking distance. We chose this place because it seemed to have... More
