We wandered the streets for a while before we came across a bustling road filled with restaurants and quickly settled on Ho Lamian, and were fortunate to get a reserved table that had been abandoned. Service was bustling, with a lots of tables and take-away orders being processed inside the small kitchen, but the lively atmosphere was enjoyable and when our food arrived, it was well worth the wait.
My wife and I shared a wonderful bottle of Normandy cidre with our food, both of which were noodle dishes:I had a ramen dish with pork, and she had lo mein, as did our daughter. The food was great, some of the best noodles we've had anywhere, France or elsewhere. Well worth the wait!

This is by far the best Chinese I have ever eaten!
Having eaten in Soho numerous times In my life & not being all that impressed ,Ho lamian's food was excellent, fresh ,delicious & a great price.
The waiter spoke English and was so friendly & took the time to go through the menu, recommending a dumpling sharing starter which were amazing. Then we had various noodle dishes, mine was a beef dish which was full of tender beef.
We could not fault any of the food or anything about this restaurant and I highly recommend eating here. But hurry as the Waiter explained his father the Chef is retiring in the next couple of years, but thankfully has trained his brother to take over( if he is as good as his father then this restaurant will continue to flourish)

A good reason to visit and revisit Rouen!! It was definitely the best food we had in our whole trip to Normandy! And we are sad that is a bit far way to eat again to Ho Lamian!! Their food was Exceptional! Very tasty black mushrooms with garlic, great dumplings and shumai. Their handmade noodles with the coconut curry were delicious! We tried the one with the duck and the one with raviolis crevettes and both were great! A big bravo to the chef!

Ws drove all the way from Honfluer as we thought it would be really nice to have Asian food. The hours of business show it’s open on a Monday lunchtime until 14:30. It’s was closed! Sort out your hours of opening!

I came in because I was starving and the place looked busy. Ordered the shrimp dumpling curry soup €14.90, which I felt was pricey for the product. As I was sitting waiting for my meal I saw appetizer after appetizer being microwaved. There was a guy working in the kitchen and his job was pretty much to microwave food! They do make the noodle on the stove and in the wok but all meats which came on top of the noodle or the sliced beef(?) appetizer dish was microwaved. It was actually crazy. I guess some won’t mind but for the price, just seems ridiculous.
Curry soup was good, noodles meh, but the broth was creamy. I asked for extra spice and they brought me a chili oil which was great. Was what I needed on a rainy day but likely won’t return due to pricing and quality.
Service was friendly.

The taste of the food is amazing and all home made dishes are also very healthy. The noodles and dim sums are absolutely superb - the best we had in years! The service is very efficient and friendly. The price is very affordable.
A fantastic experience, not to be missed!

We were just kind of wandering around the streets of Rouen and enjoying the unique architecture when we happened upon Ho Lamian and decided it was time for lunch. It turned out to be a wonderful find! We ate at one of the outdoor tables and enjoyed watching the tourists go by while we ate our meal. Mostly noodle dishes accompanied by various meats (chicken, pork), we also ordered some potstickers to go along with it. Didn't think we would wind up at a Chinese restaurant for lunch, but glad we found a good one! I honestly don't think I could tell you how to get there, but it is in the vicinity of the Rouen Cathedral.

We ordered at the Take Away spot and then decided to eat outside on the street since it was so cute. Great ambience. We all had noodles in broth bowls and loved it. It felt like a light, nourishing meal perfect for lunch. Good value for the price and nice service. Would eat here again.

This was such an average meal. The noodles were mediocre. The seasonings were boring. Service was slow. I should have known better. Lesson learned. When in France, eat French food.

The Sio Mai were exceptionally good and juicy, the other Chinese ravioli were also very good.
All the dough and noodles are home made and taste fresh and authentic!
The coconut curry noodle taste good but was not flavorful enough for our taste and lacked a bit of spices.
The duck noodles were good too but the duck was a bit over cooked.
Overall this restaurant does it and is a rare commodity around Rouen if you love real Chinese noodles and ravioli.
A must try for take out or on site (3 separate restaurants in the same street actually).

We were walking past this restaurant when the chef making his own noodles caught our attention. How nice would it be to have fresh hand made noodles instead of the packaged stuff you normally get. We went in and weren't disappointed. The cafe is small but it has 2 other shops opposite as well. We ordered duck soup, dumplings and shumai.
Wow. Awesome. Cooked beautifully with the traditional asian seasonings. There are framed articles on the wall from various publications written about this restaurant and rightly so. It is marvellous and well with the visit.
