Food was sensational! We ordered three courses and were full to bursting when we left. Such a perfect little restaurant and an incredible find! Great place if you're looking for simple, yet delicious French food. Would recommend booking in advance as it's quite small and popular.

Real French restaurant with fresh home made and fairly creative food. Tiny place in a very nice area at a walking distance from the city center. Ideal to discover Angets

My wife and I happened on this place for lunch by accident. (Didn't do my usual tripadvisor research.) It's so modest in size and pretension that I expected only a decent meal, but it was great -- probably the best meal we had on these ten days in France. We were the only tourists in the place. Each had three... More

A wonderful, small restaurant, a five minute walk from the castle, serving excellent dishes in a friendly atmosphere. I had the beef provancale which was delicious as was the desert of caramel cake, ice cream and orange nougat. Filled with locals when we were there in mid-October. Very reasonable prices, very, very good food.

This was really worth the visit. The waiter was delightful, the menu was so tempting that it was difficult to choose. Each plate was nicely presented without pretension. The ingredients were seasonal and fresh. I also had one of the best crême brulées I've ever had. The price was really incredible. It is filled with locals so that is another... More

Whilst starting to complete this review I was asked if this is one of the best meals I have ever had in a restaurant and I indicated no. I don't think that the question is fair, What constitutes a best meal, is it the food, or the location. Is it the staff or the ambiance. Is it the company or... More

We ate here a couple of times during our visit to Angers. Is a nice little French restaurant serving tasty French food at a very reasonable cost. You can have two or three courses with a reasonable range of options - two courses with wine came to about 20 Euros each. The waiter was very friendly and explained the options... More

A very good restaurant in Angers, just two people one in the kitchen the other front of house. The food shows a lightness of hand and is very enjoyable. The night we dined here we saw 18 people turned away at the door and god knows how many on the telephone. The only downside with this restaurant is that you... More

After reading the reviews here, my partner and I decided to visit le Bonrepaire during our stay in Angers. The restaurant was not in the city centre. But it only took us about 10 mins to walk there from out hotel. The restaurant was not big and had limited seats. It was cosy but not romantic. However, the food was... More
