Very good fish, the salmon is fresh and tasty. It's nice to eat outside during summer. Probably one of the best Japanese restaurant in Nantes.

We love Japanese cuisine and sushi in particular. This was probably the worst we've had. Tasteless, badly cut. We were 8 so we tried pretty much everything on the menu. Only the Make (the traditional wrap) was a bit acceptable (but not good). We also tried the meat they you cook on your own. Also really tasteless. It wasn't worth... More

The title basically covers it. My wife had the sushi which was OK but nothing special, I tried the babimbap which was good but had more rice than other ingredients. Still not bad and reasonable prices. If only French people would stop smoking on terraces...

I went to eat there while I was staying for a couple of days in Nantes. Service is fast and the food is quite good, though their kimchi was quite tasteless (nothing compared to real kimchi!). But I would recommand their bibimbap. Price might be a little expensive, but you have a great portion so I guess it's ok.

I went with some friends I have locally and we ate some sushi and Korean bbq (grill and everything) with some kimchi on the side and we all shared. The menu was pretty decent although it didn't have as much Japanese food as I wished it had. I hoped there was going to be a lot more variety but for... More

Such a Nice area. Great terrace. Wide choice for menu. Really inexpensive. Service was so friendly, good explanations if unsure for choice. Child friendly. Oh, yeah...delicious!!!

Last week, I was in Nantes (first time there) for an international conference and I met this Japanese businessman with his female staff who sorely missed their cuisine. So I chance upon Asahi and brought them there. The ambience was cosy and warm, definitely a place for laughter and chatting while feasting on not fanciful but pretty authentic Japanese food.... We're on our 2nd week in France and have some great French food but were in the mood for sushi for lunch while in Nantes. There are a few sushi joints but we picked this one since it was crowded. Our lunch was good and the sushi and sashami were fresh and better than average. Prices are quite reasonable especially... More

I LOve it! VERY biGG menu with a lot of sushi , Makii and many other japanese stuff! The restuarant is in the crowded center of Nantes, you can dine outside while listening to artists playing music around the corners. Girls serving are "tres sympa" so also it's a good chance to learn Japanese! ;)
