Friendly staff, delicious food and good value for money (Euro 29 for 3 courses, including foie gras and entrecote steak). It's away from the marina, near the market, but is still only 5-10 minutes' walk from the Grosse Horloge. Having been to the aquarium earlier in the day even our 12 year old understood the fish on the menu.

Food was from a very limited menu no English menu available. So we struggled with limited French and our polish waitress limited English. Food was not great nor of any quality to speak about. Expensive when compared to England not sure why everyone speaks so highly of French cuisine and is so critical of English food. Not great value for... More

I don't know why this is marked on Tripadvisor as being expensive - it is within the lowest price range of restaurants worthy of the name ( as opposed to Moules Frites places) and offers imaginative and always reliable takes on French classical cuisine. We have been several times now, most recently yesterday on a Saturday lunchtime in July on... More

We went here on a recommendation from a colleague at work in the UK, and it's easy to see why it's popular. Word of advice,go early. We got there about 1900 hours and got a table easily, thereafter the place filled up.If you only have one night in La Rochelle you've got to try this place and it's generally no more expensive... First evening in La Rochelle and stumbled across this delightful restaurant. The food was amazing as were the staff. Would love to revisit if we returned to the area.

We had a fantastic lunch with our 9-year old son who was very pleased to find duck breast with a spiced caramel sauce on the menu. My dessert of tarte fine aux fraises was wonderful . The restaurant feels airy and bright. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was excellent.

Enjoyed our first meal in France here, such a relief to find a menu with an English translation. We were made very welcome & were introduced to local wines & aperitif. Very pleasant evening .

This a very good restaurant with a pleasant ambience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is well prepared and thoughtfully presented. That also have an excellent wine list at fairly reasonable prices.
