This place and the restaurant next door, Le Counterpoint are side by side in a little alleyway. We opted for this one as it looked more like traditional French cuisine and we were not disappointed. The waiter was very friendly and helpful with explaining some of the menu items. He suggested a good wine to pair well with my duck... More

As the outdoor tables were all full, we were seated in the vaulted basement, which sounds awful, but is actually quite attractive. The menu was interesting, food very good, service friendly and bill very reasonable for what we had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at L'alcove. Run by the two hard working owners this is a restaurant worth looking for tucked away in a side street. The maitre' d is enthusiastic about the produce used and explains fully all the intricacies of the delicious food. There were many locals eating the night we were there, always a sure sign... More

Great flavors and very friendly service in a cosy room. You'll have to walk 3 minutes from the city hall to get access to this hidden place. Very great job guys!

A lovely cosy restaurant with seating outside and downstairs in a wine cellar decor. Run by 2 locals to Aix who have toured the globe honing their skills. The food is very good, provence but with a twist. The menu choice is small but varied and we'll executed. Friendly host and good food, definitely a venue to visit in Aix.

Great restaurant, with exquisite food. Good menu options and nice portions. There was just one waiter, but he was super organized and fast. Would definitely recommend this place. Not too much space, so make reservation.

We were looking for a restaurant, in the downtown area... the menu looked good and the price list seemed reasonable so we went in and asked a table for 2. As expected, the meals were very good: both light & balance, well prepared (and not something you could cook by yourself at home) and cooked with good ingredients. The waiter... More

Excellent place, exquisite food - like crunchy yet melt in the mouth pied de cochon as a starter and delicious scallops as a main course. Tarte with apples/pears also lovely. Passion fruit Pavlova sounded very tempting too, but we did not try it this time. Excellent choice of wines, very friendly service. A must if you visit Aix.
