Having a preference for the grain over the grape is tough enough ask in France at the best of times. Being a beer drinker in the middle of wine-obsessed Provence is doubly difficult, so Thank God for the Picador in Arles. The bar's beer range isn't huge, numbering around fifty, but they're all Craft and all French, including some from... More

This fairly new establishment in the historic center of Arles has a very good organic wine selection, as well as, cheeses, confitures, local sausages, lemon confit from Menton and other delicacies. Also, friendly professional service.

Really enjoyed this cool little bar; we had the small selection of mature cheeses which came as 4 decent chunks served on a slate, with generous quantities of fresh bread which was perfect between 3 of us for an early evening snack. Nice local aperitif, and wine. Very friendly, and cool atmosphere. Highly recommended. We looked enviously at the plate... More

We were 4 adults. Started by sharing 2 baked Camemberts and followed with one ham and one cheese platter between us. Selections of lovely breads kept coming. We had been about to order more, but the waitress advised us that the dishes were pretty big - she was right! Nice of her not to just cash in.

We weren't too hungry when we sought out this bar. My husband is keen on local ales and beers so everywhere we go he has to sample some. They have quite a selection which suited him nicely. We only ate a charcuterie which had 4 different cheeses breasola, parma ham, and other little bits and for €16 euros it was... More

We went here late one night for some wine and cheese and other snacks. They serve at a bar and have several tall tables with high seats. It was pretty crowded with locals and we had to wait to get a spots at one of the tables. A great place to relax and chat with a nice selection of wines,... More

Stumbled upon this place and enjoyed it so much we went back the next night. Great quality and value meat and cheese plates, with very friendly staff and good wine recommendations.

We were famished after a long journey and wanted to have a snack and a glass of wine before dinner. We found this place upon the recommendation of our hotel and it was perfect. Our waiter was charming and treated us so well that when he heard I have celiac disease and wouldn't be having any bread, he actually surprised... More
