This restaurant was suggested by our hotel. I'm surprised it's not rated better - we liked our meal. I had the cassoulet - it was very different from what I have had at French restaurants in the states but very flavorful. The meat was so tender and the sauce was awesome. My brother-in-law had ravioli with the cassoulet beef and... More

We have been a few time at Le Safranier and enjoyed the food. The location and set up is very provincial and make you feel to be in the south of France what it is !!! sit down under the tree and enjoyed a nice cold rose and fresh fish it's always a pleasure, service can be a bit slow... More

I had courgette flowers and she had salmon tartare for starters. I had fillet and she had sea bass for main. It was all ok but only just. The salmon tartare was the tastiest bit but generally everything else lacked flavour and the fillet of beef was chewy despite being served cuisson saignante. Both main dishes were served with the... First went to Safranier in the 1970s. In those days it was a simple cafe, off the beaten track, with a rich history and run by the local mayor. It was the place to go for really cheap but ever so satisfying meal. Cut forward 35 years or so, and the place has undergone several transformations. No longer a small... More

This place is far from the tourist areas, tucked away in the safranier neighborhood of Antibes (itself worth a stroll). Homemade meals and friendly and attentive service. Garden location and terrace in front. Fantastic, actually the BEST petite Farcis (stuffed vegetables), good beef daube and gnocchi. Phenomenal creme brule.

As regulars in this part of the world, we like to think we know a little about good food, maybe the fact we have owned and run many establishments in England and been lucky enough to travel widely leads us to this conclusion, maybe not? who knows. We visited here on a balmy Thursday evening at the end of August... More

We really loved this restaurant - beautiful setting under the trees in a secluded square as the sun went down. Staff were great with our children (and some others that were getting a bit hyper). Lovely food, we had the beef daube and it was gorgeous and the veal chop with a local red wine. Kids were happy with traditional... More

When we came in we where very surprised. Nice place to eat good atmoshere. First dish, starter, was good and high quality. Then the restaurant got busy. We got our main course which was also good but take a little time to get. Then we waited long time. We asked the bill and waited at least 25 minutes. When I... More

Food is good and the setting is beautiful! Don't seem to have enough staff because they always rush around .
