Don't be fooled, there are better places where to eat in Menton. Went for dinner. The fritti misti and the squid were rancid, obviously cooked at least for the lunch service, if not the previous day, and reheated. Meat and pasta were barely better. Service was uninspired and someone who seemed to be the boss was constantly haranguing the waiters.... More

My husband and I spent the day in Menton and decided to have lunch.Le Lido looked busy and it was a sunny day so we decided to eat here. We started off with a bottle of rosé and were given what I can honestly say is WORST bottle of rosé that I've ever had, and we're talking South of France,... More

We arrived late-ish in Menton and went into town to eat. I should have known better - any place that has staff outside to accost you should be avoided - always a bad sign. Should have looked here on Trip Advisor first! We were offered the house aperatif at 8€ (!!!), which we turned down. I was cold in the... More

To be honest, at least the kids were happy and liked their food. For the adults it was a different situation. The food was bland and seemed slung together with more speed than care. But the biggest reason for my "Terrible" rating was the lack of service. The staff were surly, uninterested, did not pay attention and acted like we... More

Ordered fish soup for lunch which turned out to be a bad choice in that we had a long wait and when it arrived, it was luke warm. Came back from the microwave pretty hot but would have been better if it had been hot in the first place. The staff work hard but perhaps there aren't enough of them.... More

Typical cafe with cooked food, pasta, and pizza. They have a mussel and fries deal for 11 euro. The mussels were overcooked and very salty. We also had the pizza, which was not bad, but on the salty side again. The swordfish pasta was good, I would eat that again.

Perfect place to grab a quick lunch or dinner. Lots of outdoor seating and right on the main market area. Reasonable prices and fair portions. Child and pet friendly.

Great location and ambience and my partner and I both had the seafood pasta. Unfortunately we both had severe stomach pains the following day and we could only assume it was the seafood as we'd eaten little else the day before.....

You know the usual TA-drill, you really do your homework before you go out, and pick only 4 bullet restaurants, and still there´s not ok. Then once in the blue moon, you get caught off-guard with your mobile left at home. And with arguments like "a cosy place", "Im longing for lasagna" etc. you just follow the stream. This place...
