The place is lovely and the setting......but apart from one waiter the staff looked miserable. One of the four starters was unavailable with no replacement. No one asked if we were enjoying our food throughout the dinner and we felt very disappointed by the whole experience, given the money you pay. We had far superior food elsewhere in the luberon... A rainy night in May, lantern-lit walkway lead us to our table by the fireplace in the intimate rustic dining room. Only 2 other tables were occupied so it was quiet. Our waiter and comedian-in-training, Kenny, spoke perfect English and made our evening especially fun. The food was the star beginning with asparagus soup and pate, then the lamb cooked... More

This is one of those venues where you expect everything to be absolutely top notch. We arrived in the evening and the setting is something out of a movie. A long walk through a lighted garden to the front door. Inside the ambiance is stunning though "rustic." Table settings were carefully done. So, it was a bit of a let... More

I agree with the review just below this one. (We must have been there the same day as that reviewer was, for it was the only rainy afternoon in Septembre in 2013). The welcome was warm; the food was plentiful (I can eat a lot, but the magnificent "veritable soupe pistou" filled me up); and the service was very professional.... More

You know you are in for a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the archway to the vine clad garden generously draped in lanterns. We were there for lunch on a rainy autumn day so I can only imagine how enchanting it would look on a fine summer night. However, the dining room is also generously candlelit and... More

Superb food, service and setting. Lovely gazpacho, amazing 2 types of lamb as one dish (one honey marinade, one stew), the wife said one of best 5 meals ever and then choose as many desserts as you want. Faultless. We ate at Les Borries night before (Michelin) which was v good but this was better. Faultless.

Having visited this restaurant ten years ago, and having very happy memories of it, we booked in February, through the website, for a special meal to celebrate my daughter's birthday in August. We drove from our villa an hour away and found the restaurant closed. On rereading the confirmation email we had received it did say that the reservation was... More

Can't justifiably comment on food as we didn't get past the appetizers, but can comment on how unpleasant the service was and how the Gazpacho tasted of vinegar. When this was brought to the waiter's attention, we were asked if we'd like another one with no offer to change to the other appetizer which was Stuffed Fleurs de Courgettes. 15... More

To our good fortune we stumbled upon this charming restaurant. Booked a reservation for dinner... The dining room was beyond charming... Our food and service were excellent and what a beautiful crowd... So good we immediately booked Sunday lunch which was served in their spectacular garden... The setting superb! Yes the same menu ... But so fresh and delicious... The... More

We decided to visit this restaurant based on the positive reviews on this website, but were very disappointed by the whole experience. The starters and main courses were decidedly average, but the desserts were poor and looked very much like they were 'fresh from the freezer'. But what made the experience truly disappointing was the slow service and inattentive staff.... More
