To Le Bistro on our way skiing in the Alps. Le Rhone is indeed off the beaten track, indeed from the outside it even looks a touch shabby. We went on a Friday night, were a little early for our booking, arriving at 7-15pm to a completely empty restaurant! Oh dear! But first impressions can be deceptive, and in this... More

We're regular visitors to Annecy, we love to eat good food, and we try to avoid tourist traps. This place has become a firm favorite of ours. Everything we've eaten here has been excellent. Today we went for lunch and the menu du jour featured a fresh and tasty cod ceviche; a duck breast with a range of accompaniments, all... More

For a place that has exactly two lunch options, the service was very slow, alhough the staff was very friendly. The food, once it arrived was absolutely excellent, both the fish as well as the red meat option.

The food was really interesting and welll presented. Nothing to do with the classic traditional savoie food you find in most Annecy restaurants. There was a good choice of different plates in teh menu and the prices were very reasonable. The owners and the service polite and nice.A really good address in the area!!!

The lobster and shrimp in a ginger jelly with a coulis of lemon provided a delightful and refreshing start to our meal. Cushion of veal with mashed artichokes and a juice with hazelnuts was excellently cooked as was the cod fillet. There was a great selection of desserts, which we finally settled on the tart of fig and sorbet. This... More

Highly recommend taking the ten minute walk from old town and sitting down to authentic food in a non-tourist atmosphere. The menu is limited but each dish is a supreme example of bistro food. The menu du jour is fairly priced and the kitchen then sends out two free courses plus complimentary after dinner drink. The wine list is equally... More

This was a gem. Hard to find (see map attached) as driving programs deliver you to the front of and Indian cuisine restaurant. Walk half a block to the left into the larger open area. Many additional tasteful delights offered gratis. Well prepared nicely presented food. The lamb knuckle (shank) has simmered in a very light tomato sauce for a... More

Settled since 1997, Sophie and Patrice CAVORET knew how to make of this place a well known greedy place of the Annéciens. Proud of their experience in gourmet restaurants, they knew how to adapt this knowledge to their atmosphere "Bistro". Sophie welcomes with happiness and smile and will know how to satisfy the amateurs of wines. To be of use to you a cooking of season in fresh products selected with the biggest care, the carte is 4 times changed a year. You will find a colored, flavourful cooking there, in the right cookings. In lunch, a menu of today's special (entrance, fish or meat and choice of dessert) is proposed to you. In dinner, a menu "Return of Market" various every day and a different "Menu-Carte" at every season.
