This restaurant is located in the main high street of Chamonix (Rue Paccard) and has a large selection of traditional French alpine food. We visited it in the evening and it became very busy - always a good sign. Although we enjoyed our meals, we did feel sorry for the single waitress coping with the whole busy restaurant. Her professionalism... More

I got recommended this place from my skiing instructor when asking for traditional french food, to a reasonable price, in a cozy atmosphere. And if you are looking for the restaurant where the locals hang out, this is one of the places. We had our dinner amongst the locals, as we dove into a tasty (and A LOT OF) raclette... More

This used to be a favourite of mine with the best veal I've had. I tried to visited once every time just about every time I'd visited town. After being presented with the bill fro a 3 course meal including wine, drinks etc. etc. we asked for a single shot of something to finish of a game (one shot -... More

The tartiflete and the veal escalope were the highlights on the menu. Warm, cosy, service a little slow but it was packed and very helpful and accomadating staff. Good local hearty food. Avoid the fondue! Great location right on the main shopping street.

We went twice and had excellent local mountain food with lots of cheese. Select this place if you love tartiflete, reblonchon, and other local rich dishes. Small place, nothing posh, but well cooked and you get what you expect except that everything was a little better.

Pleasant small place, cosy on a cool September night. Good value 3 course Savoyard menu, or plenty other choices. Service with a smile.

We dined here twice in our week in Chamonix to have the local specialities such as tartiflette. The other dishes looked good such as the steak. The staff were very friendly and worked so hard--just two for a full restaurant. If you want good food freshly made at a good price then go here.

We came down off the mountain for an afternoon snack. We passed this place on the way back to our hotel around 12:45. We forgot about the closing from 1-3 that happens here, but the chef was kind to feed us some fondue and wine even though it was close to his afternoon break. The fondue was great served outside... Had wonderfull tomato fondue and local white recommended by waitress, both amazing. Fondue 20e/person and bottle 20e. Crepes for dessert were also good, 7e. All in all really nice restaurant, good prizes and friendly staff. Would go there again!

We ate here twice on our trip. The place is popular with locals, due to amazing food and low prices. (for Chamonix) They treat travelers very well, with friendly helpful service, and the chefs are talented, with Savoyard dishes being exceptional. We felt welcomed, and the fantastic food, service and low price made this a great choice.
