Located on Saint-Jean in the old part of town, it is a quaint little place with a lot of charm. The staff is friendly and efficient. Prices are very reasonable for "Bouchon Lyonnais.

I visited Le Laurencin on trip to visit my best friend there in 2009 and was lucky (or unlucky) enough to have the most tantalizing, delicious, scrumptious and mesmerizing lamb shank of my life. I say this is unfortunate, as I have never been able to recreate the sensation ever since. The way the meat fell of the bone was... More

If you are in this area, you will see many Bouchon Lyonnais restaurants around. We choose this one and left quite happy. Can't compare it to others but the staff treated us quite nicely and we enjoyed our food very much. The lunch menu has plenty of options and rally good price. Onion soup, rabbit terrine, tripe and chocolate mousse... More

First time in Lyon, we wanted to try the Bouchons Lyonnais. We had tripe, andouillettes before without being great fans of those but we wanted to taste those ones that make Lyon famous for. The restaurant Laurencin offers +/- the same menus than other restaurants in the street; the place seems popular but It was a real disappointment. The onions... More

First of all, I cannot understand the recent review 1/5 given by a citizen from Netherlands. Rating a restaurant so poorly mostly because of the smell of tripes (duh, do your homework!) and comparing the restaurant's toilet facilities (to change a nappy) to those of petrol stations is completely irrelevant! It is quite a joke really! Maybe those people should... More

With so many restaurant options, we chose this one due to the 15 euro three course meal deal, what a bargain. The food was yummy with much bigger portions than we were used to after 1 month travelling on a low budget :D Staff were very friendly! Would highly recommend the Creme Brûlée, the crispy toffee was amazing!

Never been disapointes by the food there. Proper typical bouchon, who really have to over feed you. (I am Lyonnaise) BUT I HIGHLY RECOMEND to go early or late, it's always really busy. And try to keep place for the dessert ;D even if portions are very big for money, desserts are amazing !
