I had the Onglet de Boeuf Herdshire with some homemade chips, but both were nearly cold, so I didn't enjoy it. I thought the "ardoise" was precisely supposed to keep the food very hot. Otherwise the service was good and they offered us the coffee to make it up to us. I don't drink coffee but I appreciated it.

The name of the place tells you half the story: they specialize in meat, even if the restaurant offers a fair choice of other stuff, including the delicious soupe à l'oignon that I tried. The meat is very good, cooked to perfection. The other positive point is location: the restaurant has tables in the square, so it is very enjoyable... More

Madam and myself were due to make an attempt on the summit of Mount Fourviere the following morning. Eschewing the dried fruit, nuts and protein shake approach much favoured by the modern day mountaineer. Madam and myself are of an age where we draw inspiration from days of yore and consequently opted for the Shackleton approach to conquer our mountain... More

We settled on this place after walking around the area and checking out the menus of the various restaurants. We settled on this one because we felt like beef. My wife had the steak which she said was very flavourful and not too tough, while I had the hamburger plate. The hamburger was easy five inches tall and good. It... More

We tried the daily menu. Delicious meat and fish dishes, subtile tastes with great wine selection (and recommendation). Always with a smile.

This restauarant is set in a quieter square, so the noise is not an issue. We had very good steaks served by attentive staff, we did feel it was a bit over priced for what we had but we did enjoy the food .

We chose the three cuts of meat. None of them were cooked correctly and two of the three pieces were so tough it was impossible to even cut them. Restaurant did not supply steak knives not that they would have been any good as I suspect only a hacksaw would have one the job. I sent mine back and got... More
