The food was so bad it was amusing. The service was good and the waiter English language friendly. However as vegetarians we were astounded this place has such a good reputation. The lentil soup was served neither cold nor hot - it was just slightly warm and very thin and bland. Unpleasant to eat. The cannelloni was drowning in a... More

I've selected this restaurant due to the entry in tripadvisor regarding vegan dishes; I've received very nice and charming welcome and was told that despite many tries to correct he misleading entry with tripadvisor the restaurant does not offer any vegan dishes; I'd like to thank the people from the restaurant for the honest and upfront words and for being... We thoroughly enjoyed every morsel of our dinners at Place des Sens. We began with the eggplant terrine appetizer which was savory & delicious. My husband had the pork which was literally fork tender & expertly seasoned. I had the quinoa with veggies, which was also very tasty. We both had the dessert trio plates with homemade chocolate ice cream,... More

Having used T/A to source what was 'filtered' as the best veggie restaurant in town, we booked ahead so my wife could enjoy a vegetarian experience rather than have a 'normal' menu adapted for her. This restaurant is tiny, but clearly very popular. We both started with quiche which was served not quite cold, but not luke warm either. It... More

This is a charming little place with wonderful servers, helpful and English friendly. And some of the food was amazing. The sorbets, the drinks were superb. They had a nonalcoholic Merlot I wish I could get in the US. The bread was lovely. My main was a quinoa risotto with mushrooms and cheese. The portion was huge, and even applying... More

Excellent service and tasty food! Also non- vegatarian left the place happy. Menus give good choices and the portions are visually well designed. We enjoyed the main course and dessert more than the starter (too big portions for us, salmon tartar& sparragus soup itself were tasty).

While we are not vegetarian we prefer not to eat meat so we were very pleased to read about this restaurant and to make a reservation on-line. It wasn't hard to find and we sat outside in a small cordoned off area. The setting was simple but the food - for us the most important - was excellent, as was... More

After reading so many great reviews on TA, I made a reservation here for the weekend when my husband and I had friends in town. Overall, the experience was average: Although the service was great, the decor felt a bit cheap, the mixed drinks were poor, and the food was fine - definitely edible, but nothing to write home about.... Finding innovative vegetarian-friendly French cuisine in Lyon is nearly impossible, so when we ran across the reviews for Place des sens we were convinced we should give it a try and we couldn't be more pleased that we did! My dining companion (a full vegetarian) and I (a pescetarian) found Place des sens to be the perfect place for a... More
