Decent Irish pub in the old town. Nice staff and good Guinness and a bit of a feel of the auld country

I liked this pub it had an authentically Irish feel to it and service was good, they do a simple menu though I didn't personally eat here. We watched the rugby here and it had a good atmosphere, mixed clients locals and tourists / expats. Good selection of beer. the one criticism would be the single unisex toilet which did... More

So -- not really an "Irish" pub but a cozy enough representation to make it worth a visit. The pub fare is far from being that of an Irish Pub but the beers are certainly enjoyable. Good selection. Friendly service. Willingness to converse in English or French. Wine selection was disappointing. Nice location for a quick drink while exploring Vieux... More

Walked a couple kilometers to patronize what is usually a safe bet for a good time around the world - the local Irish Pub. My colleague and I were met by a hostile and rude bartender who told us to keep walking as we tried to buy a couple beers after asking to discard the ones we had in hand... More

If you are going to Old Lyon, you have to go to the James Joyce. This is a delightful pub with a traditional Celtic welcome. The beer selection is impressive and plentiful and it's simply a terribly friendly and fun place. The locals are an excellent source of information for what to see and where to eat. Mr G is... More

We stumbled across this little pup after dinner, it had a great atmosphere, and was perfect for after dinner drinks with friends. It was open late and just had a real good vibe. It was pretty busy and seemed like the place to be down the little Lyon cobbled streets. Good selection of alcohol.

I was in this pub during the Euro 16 football. Naturally it was packed as it had different screens showing sport. The range of drinks and food is good at a reasonable price, the bar staff are really friendly, and it seems popular with locals. It also has a unit behind the bar that locals seemed to store their special... More

Fell upon this little Gem while visiting Lyon for Heineken Cup Finals weekend. Friendly atmosphere and a well kept pint of Guinness. Met many a rugby fan from all corners and had great banter. Sold out of the black stuff but bottled porter quenched my thirst. visited 4 days in a row, met wonderful people. Did not eat here, not... More

We made the mistake of walking down the mountain. By the time we got down we were spent, We were tired, hungry and thirsty. We actually passed by this place once and found it by accident. We had Kilkenny Red Irish beer and Fish and Chips. It is a small place but worth a visit!

We loved it so much we went twice during our two day stay in Lyon! The interior evokes the feeling of a place far back in time with lots of wood paneling, old photographs and portraits, and heavy wooden furnishings. We only a couple of pints of Guiness each time we were here, but the food being served to others... More
