If you're vegetarian, short on money, you won't be satisfied. No doubt, interior, staff, the way they operate (as if dancing) - this is impressive. The service was great, very professional. But the food... Perfect if you're a meat (and giblets) lover. Not sure if...there is anything that vege person would eat. Other than that - everything was okay.More

I visited here with a Lyonnaise citizen who loves the sausage lunch. I can’t tell you what it was called but it was a variety of sausages and sauerkraut. Now I love sausages and sauerkraut so it worked for me! Obviously there is a more...extensive menu. I visited on a Saturday and it was very busy. It’s been around many many years so seems to be a popular spot for the locals. The dining room is very elegant and service was friendly and quick. I would go back. Visit for a traditional Lyonnaise luncheon. Recommended!! I actually visited Oct 2020More

Thrilled to eat fabulous food in a crazy cathedral of human feeding, after visiting the super convergence museum, concerned with ethnography, anthropology and natural sciences! This place has space for 600 diners at once. We ate amazingly good food. I had the marine choucroute with...salmon, shrimps and smoked haddock in a deliciously creamy sauce, after attacking a dressed crab. My wife had a green salad and perfect entrecôte steak. We followed with banoffee pie and coffee liégeois. It’s really a thrill to watch the waiters speeding about, to hear the buzz of hundreds chatting and to witness the arrival of so many great looking plates of food. The menu is colossal. This is an important part of any visit to Lyon, renowned for great gourmet adventuresMore

This space is perhaps the grandest restaurant space in France! Amazing Art Deco, all the details are still intact, from the floor to the wall sconces to the ceiling paintings. A real treasure. Hidden away from the main paths of Lyon tourists, it is well...worth the detour. Incredible that it has survived all those years. The service was friendly, professional and impeccable, the food was excellent.More

This is a big large restaurant with stunning art deco decorations and waiters traditionally dressed. Service was excellent and a good selection of typical french dishes, including Steak Tartare prepared at your table. Being so large the food was designed to be mass produced and...sent out quickly, that being said, the food was very good and i have no complaints, we had a variety of dishes and everyone was very good. I will certainly recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere, the decoration, service and food, it was an excellent lunch and a true experience.More

The oldest brasserie in Lyon, a tradition and history. The restaurant is amazing, the style is still how it was, the service is the classical french old-skool service, which is mostly very impatient. The menu was on phone, it had more than 10 pages, and...they expect you to have chosen within 2 min :) The food was good, let's stay quite special with pig food as main course. A must see, just to experienceMore
