Excellent typical food, all fresh food from the market selected by Jean-Louis Manoa. This restaurant is nicely situated in and on both side of a small passage (so Lyonnais). Have a try for the 'feuilleté de boudin noir aux 2 pommes (sort of black pudding pie with cocked apples) or the famous 'Quenelle de brochets sauce Nantua'. Even in rush... More

Had dinner at tonight at this lovely restaurant on Presqu'île. It is in an area full of restaurants but it looked warm and inviting. The staff were welcoming and the food was good. My wife had onion soup and a Lyonnaise salad. I had the beef with a morelle sauce. Delicious. Wanted to have dessert but we resisted. The young... More

We loved this bouchon so much we went 3 times - twice for dinner and once for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on each of the 3 occasions. The staff were very friendly and happy (and extremely patient) to let us practice our French. The food was exceptional and they environment traditionally snug and welcoming. The highlight of our many... More

Visited 12/2016. Visited twice this "unofficial" bouchon. My first night a delicious ray and the second time pistachio sausage followed by the best rhum baba on this vacation. A few false notes (snap peas overcooked). Friendly and sincere service. Would return.

As soon as you walk in the restaurant you feel you getting back on time. This is a superb place, a really Lyonnais Bouchon. Good service and plentiful food.

A typical Bouchon is located on Rue Merciere, Atmosphere/Decoration are nice, both inside and a small street outside between kitchen and restaurant. Staff is friendly. Food is okay, but not the best....just an average experience..

Decor is tatty, waiter should be employed I a high camp vaudeville and is like a fish out of water in this restaurant. His talents and verve re misplaced. We ordered 3 menus 2 with the foie gras entree to see us charged at the end with the a la carte price for foie gras. Our negotiations aimed to,prove us... More

For English people coming to Lyon it can be tricky to choose a bouchon. This one is slap bang in the middle of the 'tourist' street, but don't be put off by its location. It's very old-school and rustic. To make the most of the menu I would recommend the cheaper dishes for the more authentic experience, and order a... More

We stopped there during a less-than-a-day trip to Lyon, and it was awesome. The ambiance is obviously great, just like the other streets of the Old Lyon. The four services were really good, and so was the wine. Overall it was a delight!
