This place is exceptionally welcoming and is one of our hidden gems of Val d'isere. It is certainly up there on our list for coffee/hot chocolate stops, lunch on the sunny terrace to special evenings in the restaurant! Our guests, friends and families are never disappointed with the super caring and attentive reception from the owners and their staff! They... More

I have had a few meals with friends at this restaurant and so far it has delivered the best raclette and fondue I've tasted. The wine selection is also great and I wouldn't recommend leaving without a dessert! Small but friendly restaurant makes for a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I've come here a few times now and it's safe to say La Gourmandine is definitely one of my favorite places to eat out! The service is not only efficient but done with a smile. The food it's self is delicious. Not only that but the portions are generous (I highly recommend fondu or raclette) so you're always getting good... More

Having been here for the whole season I can safely say that you will not find a better combination of food and service. I've eaten here many times and whether you want a traditional Savoyard meal such as a cheese fondue or raclette, or a top quality burger, it is the perfect place. It is very good value for Val... Had a burger here for €22 which was good although the pomme frites were disappointing. Although the burger was better than average, there is far better value available in Val. The music played in the restaurant was good.

Had a great fondue for 10 here. Booked through the travel rep so can't comment on that aspect. Food was good and, for val D'Isère, not too extortionate! Also stopped here for hot chocolates and chips on a cold day! Great chips and excellent hot chocolates! Recommended

A busy place. We had a booking for 9pm on Wednesday for 8 people. Arriving at 8.50 we didn't get seated until 9.30. The wine was very good (apparently)... most of our party were getting quite drunk before we got any food. When it did arrive it was pretty damn good. Between us we had the raclet, fondue (which seemed... More

We booked in for a 'Traditional' French evening meal - Cheese and Meat! The cheese (€28) wasn't too bad value but the meat was ridiculous! €28 for essentially 2 skewers of meat and a salad is laughable. Avoid - there are much better value restaurants out there.
